Within the next couple of days ( Specifically not stated due to potential RL interferences ) I'll be calling an offical ( but informal ) CK meeting to discuss several changes and additions to the "Modern" era of the CKWoD.

Please inform anyone who's presence will be required, of this meeting.

The subject will be the source material concerning the Camarilla ( its component NPC's and affiliations )
As usual, votes will be required for the installation of new source material, and relevent checks that this does not conflict with currently running, or planned future, Storylines.
As usual, any changes will take effect gradually and over several RP sessions.

This is prior notice of a major change to the CK website.

Due to current events, I will be moving the entire site to a new server. This means we will have a new URL ( I cant confirm its exact URL yet ) The CK will soon be a .com
No more CJB.net riddled with ads!
I will leave a notice page at the CJB.net URL for approximately 1 year so hopefully the new site location wont be a problem to find.

This change wont happen for at least 2 months, which gives me time to get the new family business up and running.

Righty, I've been on about a change in URL for a while now and I know how much everyone ( Including me ) hates those .CJB.net ads.
Also, I gotta be real careful with money as the business wont have access to profits for another couple of months ( blame the government business start program for that one )

Anyway, there is an alternative where I can get the CK site hosted on a fast server with no upload limit and is also .ASP and .NET enabled ( which probably dont mean much yet, lets just say I can do some really cool things to the website ) and I can host it under the business hosting plan ( As a virtual sub-domain ).

So, theres 2 choices, and since the CK belongs to everyone, we all get a say/vote

Option 1 : Keep the CJB.net URL, along with the crappy ads and possible spyware, and slow/dodgy page loading.

or

Option 2 : change to "crimsonkeep.sim-tek.com"
Fast servers, NO ADS!!! and has a multitude of server side software installed that lets us do all kinds of cool things with a webpage.

Post, Email or MSN me your opinion on the matter.

As we can always expect, I've hit a snag, but first the good news!!

the crimsonkeep.sim-tek.com URL is up and running, the CJB.net URL is still going too and I'll leave that going for a while yet so everyone gets the chance to update bookmarks, etc.

And now for the snag details... it seems that hosting the site as a virtual sub-domain severely limits what the site is capable of in terms of active server pages and all the clever bells and whistles.
But, the site is up and runs great, NO MORE ADS!!! WOOOOT!

All current members should have recieved an email within the last 24 hours regarding the "Crisis Point".

Its a sad fact that everyone moves on to other things given enough time, it cant be avoided...only delayed.
As I can see it, theres no point maintaining something that will not be used and is better off being recycled into something a little more useful.
I guess the old phrase "Use it or lose it" is particularly relevant here.

The email sets out the details, I will need the permission of the author to remove any submitted source material and other literature. Any lack of responce within 7 days (of this post) will be taken as permission given.

Objections to any changes will be noted and counted as a vote.

Another step down the path of Crud!

Thats right, the Arse Of HelL Just got cruddier (Thats AOL to the non-initated)

All of our smaller files and Archived website that were hosted on the AOL servers have been mindlessly deleted and the FTP services closed.

Ths means we have lost everything apart from any of the more recent and larger file hosted by external websites such as E-mods.net.

And now we have been informed that they are closing yet another service (AOL Pictures, but that doesnt affect the CK)
AOL, their services and internet connection is getting crapper by the day. I've been with em for something like 10 years, but will be changing ISP as soon as my current contract is up....

Warning...DO NOT CHOOSE AOL AS YOUR ISP!
Lets all jump off the AOL boat and happily watch it sink into the depths of the Abyss.. its the least they deserve for the crappy service, high prices, crappy browser software and the million other things that arent even fit for the bin.

New CK Site Design

The new CK website style is progressing well, if a little slow, but its getting there!
If you have any ideas or suggestions, let me know emoticon

The site is still a basic skeleton and needs a lot more content, if you would like to contribute, or even be an Admin for a whole games section then chuck me an email.
