DF Dynamic Storyline - Event reports ( Demortia )

This is a quick summary of events during the current "Dynamic Storyline" of Dark Future. This should keep everyone up to date, and also helps me with organising things.

Phase 1 - Mars Landings

This operation involved the simultanious securing of spaceports all over Mars, Corp war assets managed to set down on the planet with minimal losses due to the valiant efforts of the assault teams sent ahead of the main transport convoys.

However, it is suspected that the Camarilla had been tipped off, and were waiting in ambush for the arriving Corporation forces.
Fortunately, all hostile forces within the zones of operation were neutralised and overwhelmed.

Within the following hours, all Corp assets managed to deploy and reinforce their assigned areas within cities spread throughout Mars.


Critical point :

1) A nearby Corp supply depot would be attacked. Intel had managed to gather info that a large force of hostiles would attempt to cut one of the main supply lines. If they succeeded then many of the Corporations squads and hardware units stationed in a large area would be put at severe risk of neutralisation.

2) One of the forward Operations Centers set up within an old abandoned Giovanni bunker had been steadily leaking tactical information to the Camarilla. The Op Center had been set up prior to the main convoy landing to help with the effort of transferring Corp assets to Mars with minimal losses. After this the Op Center would take over as the central command and intelligence base for the whole Mars Campaign.
It is suspected that the Camarilla had managed to place an undercover operative within the Op Center posing as one of its staff.

Phase 2 - Supply Depot

After a short discussion between the Corporate commanders, it was felt that the Supply Depot currently held a higher priority.
However, plans were put forward to use the infiltrator within the Forward Op Center against the Camarilla by utilising misinformation tactics.

A small Corp team and some of its allies stationed themselves in overwatch positions around the Supply Depot building. And soon after, the siege began.
After several brief incusions by enemy forces, the siege was successfully negated by the combined efforts of everyone present.

Unusually, the Camarilla had used what appeared to be Tzimisce Warghouls, dropping them directly through the roof of the building inside of cylindrical drop-pods.
It is suspected that they had retained some assets gained when they had successfully defeated a major Tzimisce raid some months back.
This no doubt will lead to further complications in the future.

The main objective of keeping the suppies within the depot intact and undamaged was completed, but the damage elsewhere was obviously bad, it would be likely that the depot would need to be moved to a new location in the near future.

Critical Point :

1) Soon after the siege of the supply depot ended, a resistance member came forward with the intention of passing along some information about the location of a high ranking Camarilla Officer.
This officer would hold valuable intel and would be a major asset should he be captured, not to mention the setbacks this would cause to the enemy.

2) A Journal was found under the remains of one of the attacking Camarilla soldiers. It seemed to be a typical journal that anyone would keep of their time during military service.
However, the last entry seemed to be slightly disturbing. It seemed the owner of this journal would soon have been transferred to a new post at an orbiting defence station, and specifically mentioned a weapon system capable of destroying an entire city from orbit.
