....not sure that I have picked the right place to post this, but I would like to know if any of you you Lightroom and if so, is there any advantage/need for it if you already have Photoshop CS3?....comments would be appreciated.

Re: Lightroom
I use Lightroom quite a lot.
If I'm covering an event, I need to get my images to the client as quickly as possible.
This is where I use Lightroom the most, for it's sorting and rating capabilities.
I go through the library section and rate the definite keepers, then go back and look at the not so good ones to see if the Library sections' simple set of adjustments can rescue it enough to work further on the image.
I then do further tweaking on the 'good ones' in the Development sections.
If it is just event photography where I have taken maybe a couple of hundred shots, Lightroom gets me there quickly and 90% of the time I don't need to take it into Photoshop..job done and in the post.
It obviously lacks the advanced capabilities of Photoshop but it does what it says on the tin.
The beta version put a lot of people off due its ridiculously slow speed and they never came back for the final release, but with the right spec PC, the final release is much better.
As for it's useability, you either love it or hate it.
I love it. It fits perfectly into my workflow.

Re: Lightroom
Thank you Bachs. From what you say, it is most useful for batch proccessing, something which I don't do......so I think I will skip it.
