Hello from a newbie to B&W...

Hi All

I have been recommended this forum from a member (assume he is here too) on another forum I am an admin on myself - the official Olympus UK forum... http://e-group.uk.net

I have been into photography for almost 2 years and use, as you have guessed, Olympus kit. I have an E-3 with a selection of the usual lenses etc.

Up to now I have been mainly concentrating on Nature and Birding shots, with the usual eclectic mix of other stuff thrown in for good measure emoticon However, of late I have become more and more interested in landscape photography, panoramas and HDR techniques - and have started experimenting and learning about this. I can assure you all, re landscape... I have a lot to learn!! Not good at all and the ratio of throw-aways vs keepers is waaaaay too high for my liking.

Anyway, I have created a few HDR b&w images over the last few weeks and when I posted these on another forum, Chris suggested I head over here for advice etc. Alas... here I am.

I am off out just now for the day, but will post some of my shots later when I get home.

My gallery is www.reflectingme.com where I have posted a few B&W conversions on my blog gallery.

Thanks for having me... emoticon

Welcome to the forum theMusicMan.

This is a great place to learn and share experience/knowledge. B&W is not just about landscapes though so I am sure your nature/birding experience will be valuable to other forum members.

Regards

Hugh
