Hello again

Hiya all

firstly I would like to say hello again.Im not a new member but an old one who forgot his log in details and had to rejoin LOL. wot am I like!

I have to admit that when I first joined I was very intimidated by the skill and standard of the work posted here and thought I wasnt worthy. Two of my best mates already post here, one is called Hugh and the other is Karl-both of whom I have the highest admiration for for their standard of work.Things have moved on for me since I last visited this fine forum. For one I finished a long course at College and think I have passed, and also I got accepted for a Ba honours degree in photography which I start in september. All of which I find very daunting but not as much as rejoining here because your standard of work is now so high I feel like an imposter and not worthy to join.I have so much to learn and would love to do so.I do love the medium of mono photograpjy and its something I will try to take up with my degree.

anyway, sorry for waffling on and thank you for reading this.Im sure my nearves will settle eventually and I will feel worthy to post something of mine.Til then I hope you will accept my lurking and taking store of the forum

Thank you

Hi Kenny,

Welcome back.

You know the thing to do it to post something, tell the forum what you have done and why (and how) and the members here will give you some first class critique.

Very glad to see you back.

best regards

Hugh

Good luck with your studies!

Re: Hello again

Thing is Kenny- everyone here is so friendly and we all know we started the same place as you (except Martin who was born with a tripod in his mouthemoticon) so no need to be intimidated.

So welcome back and Post away!

Re: Hello again

LOL at Bill

Degree educated???? I'll hold judgement on that til Ive finished three years and get a degree....which I am dubious about because I still cant get my head round the fact that they allowed me to go.Thats one of the reasons I hardly ever post any of my images because every one I see around me is so much better.

I am going to have a go at this mono lark and see what I can come up with.I feel I need to broaden my photographic horizons before I get to the stage where I was before and wanted to quit because I thought I was just crap at it.

My hope was to do the degree to prove to myself I was worthy of picking a camera up.I remain to be convinced but I will have a go.

I shall be looking forward to learning anyway and also Hugh has said he is going to point me in the right direction.

thanks again for the welcome back,Much appreciated.

Re: Hello again

Did you get Martin's CG DVD? It's cheap and definitely will be what makes the differenc with your BW

So if you haven't got it, get it, and everyone at college will be impressed! emoticon
