What Colour Mount?

With the change of colour scheme on the forum it got me thinking about how best to present B&W prints, I really only mount for camera club comps or the occasional wall hanger and have always used white mountcard.
Perhaps I should be using black mountcard, is there a rule of thumb here that I should be aware of?

btw I like the new look emoticon

I use white mostly now. If I've applied a tint or used warmtone paper then perhaps antique white. I do like black mounts too and use them to set off strong contrasty images.

Hi Neil,
Bill is right, white is the new black, it is the in colour at the moment.
I tend to use an off white if I can.
Someone might correct me if I am wrong but I have always thought that if you wish to accentuate the highlights in an image you use a dark mount and visa versa.

Thanks for your thoughts Bill and John, more by accident than design I have been using white, I shall continue to do so.
