Ive been asked how one see's when new posts have been added, well, here's how

When you read a topic, the system remembers that you've looked at it and removes the "new" flag from that topic.

If you don't feel up to reading all the topics in a forum, you can "mark forum as read", and all the "new" flags will go away in that forum.

The link "mark ALL forums as read" will do the same on the board level.
you can also set the check box that will auto email you if someone replies to your own post

That's all there is to it.

Martin

Martin

Is there a way to list all new posts and all 'subscribed' posts?

Thats the single most offputting thing for me too.
Being extremely busy at the moment I simply haven't got time to troll through all the posts.

Martin, I'll have a look at the admin panel over the weekend when I've a little more time.
We've got to find an answer to this.

RAitch, if I find an answer, I'll PM you to let you know emoticon

Sorry to here that H but its your opinion and i respect that, i still go to POTN a great site, yes i know the links wont work if the old forum is shut down but we will keep it running until this gets established plus i need more time to transfer the data properly, had a lot to do so far so this was a quick refrence until then, you say the old one worked fine for you, you where lucky when many of use found it hard to use, i couldnt get a page to load the other night said done and a blank page so a big prob for me as admin, i fail to see how this is a step back for DM if we had carried on with the other that would have been , but there you go we all have our opinions, change is aways a bd thing but there seemed no option because the old one "had loading problems" and that to me is one of the most frustrating things to happen on any site if its not quick then people wont wait around they click elsewhere, hope ypu do visit from time to time and catch yopu on POTN
