Alpha Dog

Image

Bit of a grab shot this one from Stithians show last Monday, was facing the other way trying to get some images of my niece in the show ring when these guys came rumbling behind me.
I wanted to convey the controlled chaos of the dog pack and so added the blur.

Great processing, Mark, I only wish this was a wider shot so we could see more of the dogs.

Re: Alpha Dog

Thanks Steven,Hugh.

Steven i have got some of the dogs in front of the horse that i may try and convert (more dogs in frame) but i prefered this for the simpler background as the other has horse boxes in it.

Thanks again for your input guys.

I do like the processing. I too would have liked to see more of the dogs but that's the thing with grab shots.

One single image tonemapped and converted in Nik efex then played with the light and shadows in photokit. The blur is just motion blur in cs3 masked and painted in.

Hindsight is a great thing especially when i had a 40d in the car with 17-40 on it.
