Baltic View
Hi,
I have not posted (or visited) for a while for a variety of reasons (for which I aplogise). I have actually been doing a lot of stuff in colour recently so could not be posted here.
I took a walk down to the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art (there is an interesting photography show on at the moment by Fiona Crisp. Apart from the show the architecture of the building is very photogenic and the place is very camera friendly.
This was taken in the Level 5 viewing area. I like the fact that the figures in this image are almost but not quite symetrical which is added to by the fact that I was standing just left of centre as well (well IMO). Converted with IF following the CG method (it was a very easy/subtle conversion).
I really like this image and think it works - WDYT?
Regards
Hugh
(and I promise to be on more regularly)

Re: Baltic View
I like it Hugh and think it works very well, all those half circles in the background really give it an "edge".
Is it two exposures?

Re: Baltic View
Hi Mark,
No only one exposure (and one RAW conversion). I was hand held and didn't think I would be able to line two shots up afterwards. It was exposed for the view through the window mostly and then shadow details were pulled back via levels.
Thanks for the feedback.
Hugh
