I like this composition,perhaps. The upper right part of the pic sufferd from distorion removal and looks a bit unnatural. Architecture is terrible to shoot, especially with a wide angle.

Thanks Martin
yes removing one distortion will add another but I am happier with this version as the original had the overpowering converging line which gave the wrong feel to the image

Gosh you have big buildings in Shetland emoticon

Really like this one, nice bit of documentary photography. The scale of the women against the building works very well IMHO.

but that said does it detract? would dropping in a plain black sky work better?

Agreed about style, for me it looks odd and does distract as it was the first thing I noticed, looks somehow out of scale with the rest, but what do I know emoticon

the rhs of the pic pulls the eye too far away from the smokers - maybe try a crop with the lower part of the rh building cropped out?
