I find that quite attractive and I'm not sure why, there is so little in it compositionally, so it must rely on the texture.

I'd be inclined to lighten the very dark area at the bottom a bit.

I take your point Bill, but I felt the image needed grounding. Pulling your eye down into the texture of the rock and bushes just seemed the right thing to do.

It also makes your eye work a bit harder to find the crow!
