Looking to buy a used 1Ds MkII in June.
Good condition and reasonable shutter count with all standard accessories.
Could collect in UK.

Just looked up the spec. 10fps, 110 frame max burst, 45 focus points, 63 metering zones, 57 custom functions...oh, and 1.16kg. What a beast.
Enjoy it when it arrives and I look forward to seeing the results!

Re: WTB Canon EOS 1Ds MkII
Congrats. Facing this decision myself. Problem is I really could use some serious low light performance, so the 5D MKII is probably more in line with my first need. But something fast and water sealed will have to be next. 1D MIII prices are so tempting though. Low mileage units here in the US can be found just a touch over 2500.00 US$. Not to mention the 5D MKII as put the hurt on the 1DS MKIII. Have seen those for as low as 4900.00 US$.
Just money.
Regards,
Dave

Re: WTB Canon EOS 1Ds MkII
Steve you will love it they are great camera's. I picked a secondhand one up about eight weeks ago with less than ten thousand clicks. I shoot a lot of horse events for a local company in my spare time and had my first chance to use in in anger last weekend. The AF is just mind blowing compared to my old 40d,although shooting from 9.30am straight through to 4.30pm the extra weight takes a bit of getting used to.
Also the 1.3 crop makes way more difference than i thought it would with wide angle lenses.
Did i mention I love it?

Re: WTB Canon EOS 1Ds MkII
I've spoken to Ian Kerr (Kerso) and although he can't better the UK price due to the exchange rate, he can match it, so I'm going with Ian.
The more I read about this camera the more excited I am.
I can always supplement it with a 5d later. ( or maybe still a used 1Ds MkII!!!)

Re: WTB Canon EOS 1Ds MkII
It really is a superb piece of equipment, it started off bad which is a pity as it is canons best camera to date, not just for sports but an all rounder that produces awesome files, the pictures have a look of there own, its only 10megpx but boy there quality pixels indeed
