Contrast control info

This can be achieved in a few ways out in the field or PS,in high contrast situations i use Graduated grey filters to reduce the sky intensity which inturn will help you out in the editing side, another way if you shot raw files is to take 3 bracketed shots [cam must be pod mounted for this]and then in PS use the raw files seperatly by copy and paste method to make one picture from the 3 exposures settings, for bracketing depend on the intensity of the scene but generaly 1.2 under and the same over would do the trick, the other way is to use one raw file and alter the exposure setting in the raw converter and make to pictures of the same scene to finish with one edit file all sounds complicated but it isnt realy i would give a live MSN tutorial in this if interested

No chris i use a grey grad on the lens, i find this is better for controling light , remeber if you realy blow the highlights in the field then there gone, with a grey grad it realy helps to bring down the EV levels and once taken a quick look at the LCD you get another chance till its about right
