Re: Printing FAQs

Heres a link that will tell you everything you want to know about the 3800 and lots more as well

http://people.csail.mit.edu/ericchan/dp/Epson3800/index.html

Heres an image unsharpened , both 100% view

Output sharpen applied

What I normally do is apply output sharpen on a separate layer, then add a mask paint the sharpening back, AVOIDING the prominent dark to light areas, can cause a halo if not when on print

Re: Printing FAQs

Hey!

I'm thinking about getting either an a3+ or a2+ printer from Epson. Have i got it right when I think that the current 2880 has the same ink cartridge size as the 3800? does that mean that the 2880 will run the same cost-per-print (on a3+) as the 3800?

NO: the 2880 had MUCH smaller cartriges and a different inkset ( as I understand it)

Re: Printing FAQs

Ah, the lady at the store gave the impression that both had 80ML cartridges. I wanted to get one of the printers with 220ml cartridges, but not get much above £1000 on the price, so the 3800 seems to be on the spot price-wise. But I won't be printing too much A2+, mostly A3+, so the running price is the most important factor for me.
