Chris a word of advice, you will end up getting the printer you wanted in the first place, but in between that you will spend a fortune getting there in upgrades, ink and paper. So in a nutshell, dig deep get the Epson 3800 or the newer equivalent.

Once you get the hang of printing you will be hooked believe me.

Printer manufactures don't make a bean out of printer sales, they rake it back in ink.

Think about this

Epson R2400,
Great A3+ printer, [I had one]
Cost approx £450 takes 9 ink tanks, cost of replacement tank [Genuine] around £11.50 13ml capacity.

Epson 3800
Great all rounder especially BW, cost £950. 9 tanks, £38 per tank, capacity 80mls

The 3800 is around half price to run in ink

I think in around a year with average printing you will have recouped the extra cost in ink with the more expensive printer, plus its a better performer and goes to A2+

 emoticon

Martin
