It was a shame to put glass over Martins' print.
I loved the matt texture of the paper.
I used to do a lot of watercolour painting and I used to love the texture of the watercolour paper so framed them without glass back in the mad days when I used to make my own frames.
Steve, the frame shop I use has a "glareless" glass. It is almost invisible.

Re: Just a thought keep at it
you can buy picture glass which is non reflective at any glass merchants but is not invisible. Out of the frame the glass looks 'blurred'. Just ask for 2mm non reflective picture glass. go in the merchants with a picture and ask to see some and hold it over your picture.

Re: Just a thought keep at it
In the last month i purchased an HP 8750 and have been doing some prints in B&W and in color. I know dye inks and all that...
The papers I've been using are Moab Kokopelli and Ilford Smooth pearl. Man it's just like in the good ol wet days. I love holding a nice print.
So far as I've seen the Moab is a colder paper than the Ilford. The Ilford has HP ICC profiles but not the Moab. They ( Moab) are working on it, but I find that if you fiddle around with the different paper settings you do well.
One question I have is how to mount the ink jet papers? Treat them like photos? Use the same addhesives?

Re: Just a thought keep at it
Matting and framing is far the best way to do it, the mat gives an air space between the print and the glass hence the images last a lot longer
