can we get a discussion going on just skies and how to get the best from them?
One reason I ask is that by their nature skies are mostly on the blue channel which is the most noisy as well, so how to get exceptional skies, what does and what doesn't work would be good to discuss (B+W obviously)

As my very first digital BW - I got to this:
I like the sky but whether it's acceptable or not and whether anything better could be done with it is another matter.
This was done by pulling the curves about fairly dramatically
100% crop of the sky area
