Lakes Barn
Here is the download for the Raw File for my Lakes Barn.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/4hziznn30ow/cumbria_20090525_0308.dng
Using recovery/exposure you can bring back all the detail in the sky.
One of many attempts by me so far is, I just seem to be struggling with this one.
Forgot to do a jpg of the colour version.

Re: Lakes Barn
Hi Mark
I've downloaded this and made a start, got rid of all the dust bunnies (only took 1/2 hour ).
Thought I'd check what plug in's you have so I only use whats available to you.

Re: Lakes Barn
Cheers Bill
Either silver efex or imagefactory pro, I'll probably try and use the later now I've got the key from Martin.
Dust bunnies, must be dirt on your screen.

Re: Lakes Barn
Here's a quickie, I have used IF to convert, using orange and green filtration to make a separation of tones to isolate the walls and building, then added a tone that I think suits this sort of image, colour master is below

Re: Lakes Barn
Hi Mark
I've had a [play with this and am uploading a colour master and mono edit as psd files so you can see the layers, masks etc used in and play with them in your own time.
It looks like being midnight before the files have uploaded, 500 mb plus. it now 9:33 and there's 2 hours 40 to go if nothing falls over.
I'm away for the week-end but can discuss with you next week if you think it any help.
Typical, looks as though it fell over immediately i left it! I've restarted the upload now 06:50 Friday.
And it's comlete and the files are here

Re: Lakes Barn
Bill.... Thanks for the downloads, what is interesting is how you've arranged your layers in groups allowing the option to back go back and edit them. I end up with individual layers that I have to keep flattening, how do you do this.
So I've had a bash at doing it the way Martin has suggested ( sorry simon ), and have come up with the following.
I still think there might be areas that are a little too dark.

Not sure I understand the question Mark, can you rephrase?
