Not sure what is intended, Chris - do you want to compare the output of the exact same file from different printers and papers, or let us see how each of us like to edit the file as well as print it? If the former, then there's no need to duplicate printer/paper combinations.

Are you thinking of A4 size, or less, for ease of postage?

Either way, I'm interested. I print on various papers with an HP B8850 (but also have an Epson R360), and edit with CS4 on a MacBook Pro with a Dell 2408WFP (which can't really distinguish dark tones 1 to 15).

Hi Gordon - its not to show off one individual over another, basically it is to show us the quality of the prints that can be produced by different methods and printers skill...you may wish to show a particular combination...
Not everybody has to do a print but as you have two printers then maybe you could show the similarities differences - 10x8 300dpi

Hi Chris,

I would be in but I am not sure of tghe merits of printing off my Canon "Crap Box" - I can already tell you what the results look like.

Good luck with the project though it does sound interesting.

If you want to print...
Basically I send you a file, you print it and send me a copy...you could even get copies done at local print shops...

Once I have a reasonable number of images I post them around a list of those interested for comment...we can then come to our collective and individual opinion on printing monochrome images...

Due to costs I only see us doing this once or twice but it will show us all what the limitations on various printing methods are...

I remember doing exactly this 30 years ago with some group or other - it worked quite well!
