Black & White Photographic Techniques with Adobe PS

(I asked for this thread so here goes)

This recently published book by Maurice Hamilton is IMHO aimed at film photographers looking to convert to digital. In thatthe argument is well supported.
If you have already made the decision then there may be only tit-bits for you.
There is a commando raid through the Zone System which makes sense if you use it but if you dont will just leave you muddled - does anybody on this Forum use the Zone system digitally?
There is a good explaination of various conversion methods with the same image to illustrate the results...but scattered on differnt pages.
For me the book brings very little new to my armoury for creating and controlling a monochrome image digitally.
Go for this if you have a bit of spare cash. Go for it if you are film photographer looking to convert to digital - there is no loss of quality.
If you have been on this forum and are finding your feet in digital monochrome then this book will not really fit in and is not IMHO a must have.
