Hi Chris,

I can see all the calibration squares at the top of 'our' web page, but you've lost me with the "colour space" ?

Okay...basically...the calibration targets at the top of the page are just a guide...you should consider getting a calibration device for your monitor...this will help set up the grey scale and colour space
Colour space is basically the colour the camera sensor puts out for the colour of light that falls on it...the web and most monitors work in a colour space called sRGB while most printers use Adobe RGB ... fortunately they are pretty similar but you could be working LAB or the commercial printers favourite CMYK...problem is they don't always transfer to the web equally.
So your monitor may well be pretty approximate so contrast isn't changed much there but you may be working in a colour space that when it changes to sRGB to be viewed on the web it changes the tone of the image
go play with the View - Proof set up in PS
