New Scottish Landscape website

Hi guys,
I've been absent for a couple of weeks as I've been flat out day and night working to get my Scottish Landscapes website finished and launched.

www.steve-perks.com

I was quite nervous about showing this to the world and more so fellow photographers but the nerves subsided when I sold an 18x12 and a 29" panoramic to Maryland in the States on the second day!

I welcome any constructive criticism.
The prints are predominantly colour but there is a monochrome and an antique plate gallery.

Congratulations Steve...and good luck with the venture...some magnificent images....

But do keep visiting and submitting....'cos just as with Martins stuff we can still tell you if it is crap or not emoticon

So when are you getting company expenses to come up to Shetland to do a series here - big market in New Zealand!??

Phew...relief!!!! emoticon

The reason I like this forum so much is because people tell it how it is, especially Martin and Chris!!!

So it's a relief that it snook past you two in particular emoticon

As far as the monochrome gallery goes, I was shocked to see just how few I could consider sellable after all these years that fitted the theme of the site (having said that, I've lost many print size files through hard drive failures before my triple backup stategy)

As time goes by, I'll be removing the weaker images with stronger ones.

Now I have the daunting task of constantly plugging away at marketing strategies and have been doing a lot of reading on the subject.

My first buyer by the way was Ian Kerr AKA Kerso who I bought my first Canon L lenses from!

Made me laugh Chris.

Nice site Steve, and hope you do well. I also finally got to see the color version of the black and white panerama you posted here a while back, truly a beautiful image.

Regards,

Dave
