Thank you - Im looking forward to learning touse it - apparently LR and ACR arent up to speed fully and DPP (yuch!) is the way to go

I said this before, but dont know if i am correct, if you use the FREE Adobe DNG converter you should be able to open the 5DMK2 files into ARC ??? as DNG then

update
Downloaded some 5DMK11 raws, converted to DNG and can open them in ACR,
http://www.adobe.com/products/dng/
Choose Mac or Pc from top right of page

Martin, which file did you download and where did you put it once you downloaded it?

If you go to the link in my last post, there are downloads for Mac and PC, once downloaded its a stand alone programme, you just locate the 5dmll camera raw files .cr2, and then convert them to DNG, its quick and easy, then you can edit in all PS and lightroom as they all support DNG

Look at Capture One 4 might be an easier route... looks like the 5DII will only work with ACR for CS4

Thanks Martin. The link was taking me somewhere else before, thats why I was confused. That seems to work fine, even lets you view them in bridge once converted. Shame of it is it adds another step to the work flow.

If you are going the raw -> DNG -> PS route then consider this utility...

about 5 seconds per file to convert. THis converter is just a stop gap. I will be upgrading next year.
