Laundry Cottage Cat

I'm still not able to post from work, so apologies for all the comments I wanted to make on your images... but couldn't! emoticon

I overdid things on my day off this week. Having said before I could only walk a couple of miles, I went and did a ten mile assault course. Too much to devote to photography, but I did manage to get this one before the subject legged it. emoticon

The original contrast was all wrong so I mixed it up in Photomatix. The result was really flat, so I put a bit back using a rather loose form of contrast grading. The truth is I haven't really bothered much, but at least I'm keeping in touch.

Great 3D feel with this one, and wow what character that cat has, as you say about to leg it (so long since I heard that saying),
good one.

Thanks Tim. In situations like this I normally grab a shot and then try to improve on it. I never got a second chance here! emoticon

How old were you and what were you doing that you shouldn't have been?

LZ, this 'developing' the image is a little like cooking - you only follow the recipe to the letter once. I like the result of your creative mixing here, agree with Simons crop to remove the light area at the upper right

How can I answer this without incriminating myself? Just a healthy youth, not like those of today just sat in front of comp..., oh that's healthy too.

Good job Zooey. You captured cat's character perfectly. I think it is the light here that makes this picture.
