Missed you all....
Been very, very busy the past year or so. I've been traveling all over, back to the states, etc...etc.. I have not had much time for photography, which has really been a blow to me. To make a long story short, I am now back in the swing of things, and hope to slide back into the forum life again. I really missed the inspirational photographs and friendly banter. This is the place where I started my photography life, and I owe so much to you all.
I just bought a 40D, up from my 20D, and I have been breaking it in. It will come as no surprise, to some here, that I have turned a lot of my photography study/time to portraits. I still am planning to get back out in the great Yorkshire country-side, because I think it is just so beautiful and I love being out there.
So, I posted a shot in the portrait section, no surprise, from a lighting workshop I did about a week ago. Lighting is the key, as Martin and others show so brilliantly. I only wish they had a softbox large enough to light-up the countryside.....
