The ****ing radio personality? He did a stint in the Twin Cities back in the late 90's, I think. I heard good things about it, but I never listened. I was a little to yung to dig talk radio at the time.

Well, Kuby, I don't know what to tell you. Part of the allure of this board is that there are dudes here who have bared it all. That's what makes firends. But we ain't stupid and we know that there's certain **** you DON'T share with crazy ****s like TURD.
If you're an occasional poster that ain't gonna share, you'll surely understand that those of us who are always here will have private conversations... maybe about you...  AND have ongoing things that you might not get and that we might not want you to see.
But as this is your thread, I'll give you a flier.
If you can't deal with these facts of life, and can't give enough of yourself to endear yourself to the ****s that have come over from the old board and "built" this new one, then you can probably expect the hip checks from the regulars when you do decide to show up and post nonsequetors like references to obscure radio personalities out of the clear blue when the conversation has nothing to do with that. --- a trait, mind you, that all of us immediately recognize as the TURD from the old board...
If that's too much for ya, then, I don't know. Phone's ringin', dude.
Don't misunderstand me, man. We welcome you... But--- you have little right to question our "paranoia" when you, if you are who you say you aren't, didn't experience the closing-down of a pretty creative, free-flowing board due to a ****bag. Expect some hazing just to ferret that out. That's all I'm sayin'.

We walk a fine line here between the need for new blood and rampant paranoia. The other board is so paranoid that they just ban everyone out of hand. We definitely ain't that bad. This can be an intimidating place since we all have about 4 years history. Kinda like walking into a local watering hole where everyone comes every night. It can also be a natural, zesty enterprise.
I would say the best way forward for a newbie is to take an existing topic and offer something interesting either for or against it. We pretty much live to **** each other in the ass on any subject at all. It's all done in fun. I can't remember the last time we came to verbal blows around here.
That said, hang around for a bit before you try to **** a stranger in the ass. There's always going to be some friction. I hate Scuff because of his good looks, Tweed hates me because of my allegence to a certain football team, we all hate AMC because his wife is so hot. The list goes on and on. And we'd probably do just about anything for a guy on this board even though we've only met each other either once or never.
