No, you are not wrong and you are not an asshole. It is a very nice tequila, IMHO. Used to be my go-to bottle until I discovered Cuervo Family Reserve.

Re: Reposado Patron
Well, I'm two healthy glasses in and I'm feeling pretty mellow. Beats the Jose Cuervo bull**** I usually use to get into her pants.
$50 at the Philly duty free. See the advantages of coming to visit the rodent in exile, yes, yes?

Re: Reposado Patron
... you're back in the UK? Is your family with you? If not, well, I know you might feel lonely. But this, Sir, is a great opportunity to live like a single again. And I do not mean cheating or the like, I mean enjoying your time, man.
No explanations. You just do what you feel like doing. That's what I miss everytime I've had a girlfriend.

Re: Reposado Patron
Well dude, I've been married for about 30 out of 50 years, so I don't think I've ever had that feeling. Here's the plan. We go back to the US mid-October. Then the wife stays home until after New Years. I'll head back for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I have the green light to visit Donnelly in Menorca whilst the family is freezing it's ass off back home.
If I can get the Scuffster and others to come along, so much the better.

Re: Reposado Patron
Dude, I've been hitting the whiskey pretty good but Patron and Herradura are awesome tequilas. Even as a relative novice, I know that much. I miss my Herradura but the whiskey I buy is very tasty and waaayyy cheaper. And that makes a difference.

Re: Reposado Patron
With my man Weed, his pleasures are inversely proportional to their cost.
Rodent, Josefina and I have discused this at length. I can go.
Don't get too smug with that price, dude. I saw a bottle last night at $38.50. Duty Free isn't cheap. They gotta pay to have it brought in. The Duty-Free Shop in the U.S. Virgin Islands was like twice as high as back home because everything had to be imported.
Weed, I saw that Sazarac Rye last night at the Cru. I almost bought it because I was drinking again!! Had 2 Herradura anejos and a Paloma. Josefina had martinis.

Re: Reposado Patron
I was just going to say 50 clams dosent seem that cheap for that bottle. That is the problome with Tequila IMHO, you have to buy a realy exspensive bottel if you want it to tast at all good.

Re: Reposado Patron
to party my boy sergio would buy a 50 - 60 dollar bottle of tequila and a 99 cent bottle of store brand squirt and I used to think to myself...sometimes I wish I too were a mexican. that's just how he rolled.
