This country has put itself in a leagaistic bind. We try to treat other countries as we are FORCED to treat each other here. Don't talk meanly, don't act or speak in decisive ways, worry about the "feelings" of others... Jeez. Hostage negotiation... "Please, please let this nice family man from America free. Take your ship..." blah, blah... ugh.
Dwight D. Eisenhower's possible response to the family of the captured American Captain, "We're sorry for your loss. Your son was a fine man. But all his fine qualities notwithstanding, these punks in other parts of the world can't be left to wonder about the strength and resolve of America and Americans, our interests or responsiblity in commerce when it comes to offensive and provocative actions such as these. We will not negotiate and we will not be timid about resolving the problem both quickly and decisively. Therein lies the deterrent to such future actions by these international thugs."

I don't get pirates anymore. Who the **** is a pirate? Pirates went out of fashion with the invention of automatic weapons. It's just not cool anymore. Of course some African douchebags gotta keep running with it. Laughable, man. Get a ****ing hobby. Piracy is so 1600's.

There have always been pirates. They just adopt different guises. Vikings were pirates. After the pirates like Captains Kidd and the like, there were the robber barons, like John Jacob Astor and the railroad tycoons. William Randolph Hearst was widely considered a pirate of sorts. But if you define them as ocean going gangstas, yeah, it's like young homies with a boat and automatic weapons. They took one boat and then they got greedy. Plus, I think these guys are being run by some pirate king in Somalia, right? But, boy, these guys are gonna get a big ass ****ing by somebody. Unless we catch 'em and put 'em on probation.
