**** water features!
Dudes I spent the entire day yesterday digGing out this old water feature in my yard and building a new one. When we first moved in the entire back yard was weeds and once we started pulling them we found all this old landscaping. There is a pond and a little creek that runs up along the house that operates on a pump.
I decided the length was to long and I would not be able to keep EJ out of it. So I dug it out and stacked a **** load of rock up about five feat above and around the pond to make a waterfall. The pond is way too deap for EJ to be trusted around so I put a screen in over the pump so it could still get water then put a bunch of big rocks on top of the creen so the water is just covering the rocks.
This **** took me all ****ing day in the heat then I turned it on. I ****ed around for about an hour trying to get the stream to look right and when I finally get it I go for a beer to sit back and enjoy the spoils of my labor. I no sooner sit down before I realise the pond is damn near empty. **** **** ****!!

Sounds like you need more water. Run a hose down to the river, connect it to a pump and Whala!, pond gets water as needed. Don't know where to get 900 yards of heavy duty garden hose, though.
Seriously, did you run the water line from the pond to the water fall so the water recycles through the stream?

Something is blocking the water inlet or there is a leak in the liner or the pump is not powerful enough to move the water up and over the falls. Is there water coming over the falls? If you have water coming thrugh the filter and over the falls then you must have a leak somewhere.

I got it working. I just needed to ajust the flow a bit so it wasent spilling out the liner. There is no filter it is just a sump pump down in the bottom that hooks up to a hose.
I fixed it last night and then sit im my lawn chair for about two hours drinking beer and staring at the trickling water.
