Re: conciensious objector
Donnelly--- ...beside the fact that it's gonna give non-contributing ****bags free health care and fund it on the back of hard working, 9-5'ers... They also want to treat the care you do get, that the insurance companies bill at an exorbitant rate, as earnings. So let's say you get $10,000 worth of health care in a year, our ****ing brilliant-ass, money taking, mother ****ers want to treat that $10k as INCOME. ****ing rat bastards. That's an additional $3,500 you'd owe the gov't at the end of the year. They want to treat it as additional earnings.
Lift a finger, Toe.

Re: conciensious objector
... I get your point. But this is how I see it: many lazy bums, ilegal immigrants and other ****suckers will benefit from socialized health care, yes, yes. But along with them, many decent and helpless people will get the help that I, as a Christian man, am happy to give.
Don't get me wrong, man. I'm no Jesus freak. But helping others is an essential part of our society.

Re: conciensious objector
Afterwards we went to a restaurant in DC. They had something called the fatboy challenge.
2 lbs of beef in hamburger form
1 lbs of fries in seasoned fry form.
Eating this gets you a free tee shirt.
Well I got my tee shirt and I have spent the last 3 hours in agony. I stopped half way home to get some ginger ale thinking it would help... It didn't. It made it sooooo much worse.
I have kept it down and I am looking forward to a post morning coffee **** tomorrow at work.
SO WORTH IT!

Re: conciensious objector
Metamucil, dude.
Donnelly, listen, man, I too would love to help everyone. The way things work now is even the lowest of the low get emergency room health care. They even get hospital care if the illness is bad enough, for the period of time it takes to get them back on their feet. They are billed, but as they have no insurance and no means to pay, the hospital/ health care industry foots the bill and writes it off. I pay for that in higher premiums. I'm all for the status quo here. I don't want sick and injured people going without care. But under the present arrangement, they don't.
All this health care plan is going to do is force businesses that can't afford to pay health care for workers to pay for it and go under or don't and be forced out of business. Either way, you're looking at a backbone of our economy being forced out of business. Second, my premium is going to go up, my taxes are going to go up, and I'm going to be taxed on care I get. Just imagine a catastrophic car accident with me, the Boss, and kids in the car. No one dies, but months of care and rehab are required to fix us. Maybe it's a Million bucks of care. Regardless of my having insurance, that Million would be treated as though I earned it and I'd be expected to pay tax on it. ****. That's $350,000! That's a ****ing house.
It's unfair. **** them.
Implement a federal sales tax of 10% on everything including food and the government will have more money than they know what to do with. It will capture money in a fair way from everyone. The square community, the underground economies of drug dealers and other criminals, under-the-table workers--- all would be paying in, even the ****ing illegals. There'd be trillions more dollars in the pot. Then I might be able to agree with a national health care system because at least we all, one nation under God, would be paying for it.

Re: conciensious objector
I too have no problem with socialized health care. But I do have a problem with the way they plan to fund it.
As far as I am concerned **** the government. They need to keep their goldbricking ass out of my beach community.
