 Having a viewing tonight...
Having a couple of my buds over tonight to watch the movie and drink some beer. One has seen it before but the other has not. I've had pretty good luck introducing it to folks. This guy actually watches Animal House every Thursday night. So we're hoping he gets hooked on this one.

I have a friend who has not seen the movie. I gave him a copy about 3 mts ago and he still has not watched it. I not happy about this. I gave him Fear and Loathing about 2yrsago and he still has not watched that. I fear I amy have to go over and force him to watch it. Duct tape to a chair. Eye lids held open with scotch tape. I will get ugly I'm sure.
Oh and I'm taking the dog and the SLF up to Harper's Ferry this weekend. Do a little hiking and sit in the cool mountain water.

got a co-worker here who has not seen TBL yet. i think im gonna make her a copy instead of lending out mine. last time i did that it took months to get it back.

The original post that started this thread was like a year ago. The boss was outta town getting ready for the weeding and I was at home for one last hurrah with the guys. So we watched the movie and the guy that hadn't seen it went out and bought it the next day. He borrowed my copy that night and returned it after he bought his. I'm actually kind of surprised he never joined dh. But, well, come to think of it, I understand why.

Yeah, we usually break into some quotes here and there. He's a teacher too so we apply some of the lines in school and of course they go right over thekids' heads.
But a few of us were out the other night and a new teacher asked about my bumber sticker, "The dude is not in." "Is that a Big Lebowski 'thing?' I love that movie!" So there's another in the fold.

Everyone needs to see this movie. It could help out the mind state of the whole world.
Any time Im having a bad day this movie can bring a smile back to my face.
Maybe we could start a charity.....Big Labowski For World Peace or somthing. We could get a good deal on a bunch of copys and then hand them out to people. Or start a website where you can go to get your free copy.

It's funny that everyone I've shown the movie to who haven't seen it has heard of it, know a little about it, and claim to have wanted to see it in the theater but didn't because it was a short run. They all watch it regularly now for the same reason as you ,AMC. I think you're on to something, man.

Ya we could one up thoughs Lebowski Festers by starting a World wide dude charity. We could probobly buy a bulk of these DVDs for about a buck a piece. So we each raise 1000 clams and buy like 10,000 copys. We then sart a web site in which the first 10,000 people get a free copy. We would also take donations on the site for future copys.
I can just see it now. I will go door to door and have a can drive.
Door opens: "Excuse me sir, I am here on behalf of The Charity Of The Dude. We help people without the nessicary means for a nessicary means for a copy of The Big Lebowski. Could I have your empty cans?"
