The Wire making things difficult...

I found this this morning in our local paper.

Sun article


The Wire has been programmed on BBC2 and Brits are convinced that it is more truth than fiction as applies to their crime problems. Anyway there's a political war raging regarding crime apparently and some guy concocted a site to mirror Baltimore City's web page and posted a ficticious comment from the Mayor of Baltimore concerning the Wire and crime in Baltimore and England. Our own police department got wind of the fictitious site and thinking it was real linked it to theirs and their Twitter and lord you can imagine where it goes from here.

Another reason to believe that nothing on the Net is true. Good read... emoticon emoticon

Yeah and it's prety damn sad that Bodymores mayor gets pissed at the Brits, cause basically it's true about the crime and the show is pretty dang realistic. Sounds like she doth protest too much, even if she didn't say it.

****ing limey bastards. Don't they realize that The Wire ended three years ago? Day late and a dollar short. No wonder their empire faded in the early 20th century. They also have poor oral hygene.
