pc up and running carlos though did have a few probs, hAd to download the windows service packs and numerious windows updates,then i found out i had no sound and the pc wasnt detecting any devices for sound so i had to use the utilities disc to down load the drivers, so all working lovely now, bye bye crappy slow laptop, its like an old friend has returned home lol.

Ha ha ha. yes I thought you would have to run the utilities disc Daz. No good me running it for you as it would detect my surround sound and my monitor resolution. That copy of XP is a couple of years old now so yes I guess you would have to run service packs too.
