Nice. Anybody ever heard the birthday song that Ringo sent to John that same year that George sent "It's Johnny's Birthday"? It won't blow you away; the lyrics consist entirely of the phrase "Happy Happy Happy Birthday" repeated over and over and over with musical backing, but it's fun.
I've got it on a Lost Lennon Tapes CD that also has the birthday songs that Donovan and Janis Joplin sent that year. The disc also includes pieces of a live recording from John's birthday the folowing year, in '71, when John and Ringo got smashing drunk and rolled out versions of Ray Charles' "What'd I Say" and Yellow Submarine. While the performances of these are noticeably lacking, presumably due to heavy inebriation, one can hear the absolute fun they're having as the crowd yells and tries to make musical noises with their body parts.
