Autumn approaches!

 In the morning about 5.30 on the way to work I have noticed the sun is not on the horizon like it has been all Summer. So the days are growing shorter. Hot Corey does not notice cause he has been asleep about 2 hours by the time the sun rises. The afternoon sun is still up late so the late risers do not notice the days getting shorter.

 More signs of Autumns approach. The Hurricanes are atarting to pick up now as the peek of the season has started. I found Scupponongs in the food stamp grocery store and they are a late Ausgust/early September crop. The Halloween stuff is showing up in stores and the Brat and Hot Corey got me an early present of a ceramic jackolatern.

 Pre-Season football has begun. It is about time for the new Farmers Almanacs to be in the stores but I haven't been to the store in a Week or so. A girl at the orfice sells Avon and she had her Halloween Avon catologs at work Yesterday. My kumquat tree has small fruit on it so that is a sign Autumn is approaching.

 LL reports more interesting Fall signs as she lives in a area with 4 Seasons. Here are some of her sightings!

 the Canada Geese are beginning to gather for their trip south

the evenings are cool enough for jackets and blankets at night

the crickets and katydids are quiet most nights now, not predicting the hot humid coming day as they did all summer long


the stores are selling winter coats and school uniforms

the beach towels and flip flops are on 50% discount

local apples are just coming in

no falling leaves as yet

the green colour of the leaves is not as bright as mid summer though no reds or oranges nor reds as yet

I've got the falling leaves ratty..already..but i am hoping it stays in the 80's for a little while longer so i can go swimming...
Leaves means i need ratty..to come and rake them..

These last few rainy days will start to shake loose the leaves, for sure.

Sweatshirts, sweaters, and rain jackets surfaced from the back of the closet, and the heat was turned on for the first time this season (just after the oil company did a fill-up.... $$$$ OUCH $$$$ )

The temperatures should be back into the 80's by the weekend. YIPPEE!!!!

 Yer still sad cause I found your shower cam in my shower and covered it up.

 Latest sign of Autumn is the massive amount of dragonflys eating up all the Love Bugs! And the Jets have lost their first two games so that means it is Fall!
