got some time for trivialities
I've seen many mentions of of the Beatles connections in the movie "Funny People". (I assume the general public prefers Adam Sandler as a self absorbed asshole that's not pretending to still have cancer.) "In Private", from the deluxe editions of "Memory Almost Full" is featured, and yes, Adam Sandler sings "Real Love". Actually, more accurately, he sings a medley of "Real Life" (mistitled "Real Love" on the "Imagine" soundtrack and "Real Love". The giveaway is the kingdom of heaven verse (from "Real Life"), and that the chorus is actually "real love" (which isn't the chorus of "Real Life").

Re: got some time for trivialities
Blame Yoko for the confusion. The "Imagine" soundtrack cd contains what is listed as "Real Love". Only it's not. Same basic melody as "Real Love" (yet to be released at the time), but far more downbeat lyrically. Also seems to be a work in progress, as the lyrics aren't as coherent. "Real Love" has the lyrics, "no need to be afraid...no need to be alone"...and "Real Life" changes them to "only to be afraid...only to be alone". And "Real Life" doesn't have the words "real love".
In the movie, "Funny People", Adam Sandler plays a self absorbed arrested development asshole comedian who uses a cancer diagnosis to try to win back his ex-girlfriend. A good flick; I liked it. But most of America prefers "Billy Madison" where Adam Sandler plays a self absorbed arrested development asshole without cancer.
Which leads us to the music in the movie...which includes such tunes as "Photograph" and "In Private"...and Adam Sandler singing "Real Love"...only it's actually a medley of "Real Life" and "Real Love" containing the verses from "Real Life" and the chorus of "Real Love".
As Jimi Hendrix might say...is this "Real Love" or confusion?
