Allow me to be amateur critic and full time crank...even if Sean & Dhani were the sons of Benny Hill and Marty Feldman, they'd still be compared to someone...and since they seem to be dabbling in the roughly the same musical genres, it would be fair to still compare the two of them (and in that case, Sean might come out ahead...just because apparently his life won't be complete without a kiss from a certain someone). However, being Sons of Beatles has entitled them to far more exposure and opportunity than their talents have thus far demonstrated. (However, it would seem ticket and cd sales are more in line with musical reality.) Would Dhani have his own record company otherwise? Would Capitol have signed Sean?
But on to the music. Both talented musicians...but as songwriters, so far neither has come up with anything memorable. At best, they approach pleasant. As singers, without amplification, I doubt that you'd be able to hear either one sing if they were sitting next to you. Anyroad, basically those are two things I expect from most music. Jeez, at least Yoko is memorable..and even if she talks like a little girl, she can belt.
Now, I wonder if the soundtrack to "Body Rock" will ever be released with Julian's first recorded song?

As Julian found it his responsibility to keep the Lennon name singing (at least once every 10 years or so), perhaps Sean will find it his responsibility to keep the Lennon name kissing.
