all things must impasse away
Much apologies to Olivia & Dhani. Silly me thought they were steadfastly sticking to George's work ethic in the release schedule. But no, the box set has been ready to go for 5 years. "Let It Roll" was never intended as a single disc. EMI has been the hold up, not seeing that there's a market for such things, and proving their point by not getting George's stuff in the stores. Seeing as how the Wilbury's set was a megaseller and that was done through Rhino...perhaps the EMI deal wasn't so smart.

Re: all things must impasse away
PS...I do blame Dhani for the hideous packaging of "Brainwashed" which I'm sure bears as much blame for it's lack of success as EMI. Nothing about it really resembled something George would have put out...and putting the deluxe edition out in a black on black box...well, doesn't that just jump right out at you?

Re: all things must impasse away
With all the zillions EMI/Crapital are making on the fabs it seems they could stand to risk a coupla million and let the solo fabs have their little projects. Greedy bastages!

Think it says a lot that Rhino can get megasales on the Wilburys collection and Capitol can't do squat with "Let It Roll".
