Thanksgiving at Larrys
Marshalls bad luck and Ratman and Tom's stories have inclined me to wipe the cobwebs off of this board and write a little too. Here's how Novembers been so far.
I got a call a few days ago around 01:30am from my mother stating that she wasnt feeling good and asked me to come over. Phone calls at that time of night from 72 year olds seem to always be bad news. I got there and she was having a hard time breathing and she said her chest was tight. I was with my dad at Lake Erie when he had his heartattack and I kept thinking,,,not again. I dont know if I could take another episode of a parent passing away with only me being there. Not a pleasant experience. Anyways, I called the ambulance and it turned out to be an allergic reaction to a banana. She has had issues with bananas before, but she just had to have one I guess. Stubborn old fart.
Hunting season opened up Monday. I finished up work and rode over to my mothers as my brother, uncle, and a family friend was hunting. Well Dan (family friend) had gotten one and I went out in the field with the truck and picked it up for him. His arthritis was bothering him, so I gutted and cleaned the deer and also took it and him to get it tagged. We got back and he opened up a cooler full of beer. Well, to cut to the chase, I pretty much drank all day and my wife had enough. We've been struggling for the last few days and she wants me to move out for awhile, but i'm not going to. Its my fault and its my personal demons that I need to work out, but this could go either way. I'm a weak person.
I have to work tonight so i'll have to get up around 2:30 to head over to my mothers house for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, my family (about 24 of us) eats around 01:00. I have no problem heating up a plate, but its never as good as getting it fresh from the table when everythings hot. As soon as the turkey settles in and you need that big nap, it'll be off to work for another exciting 12 hours of internet surfing.
After I finish up work Friday morning, i'm heading straight to my oldest brothers house so that he, I, and my other brother can head down to North Carolina to see my sister. She's been battling breast cancer and going through the chemo treatments. They caught it early and I really believe she'll beat it, but its going to be hard. Its also going to be hard seeing her as she's bald right now and I know i'll lose it. I'm not strong when it comes to those kind of matters. Anyways, I hope its a nice visit.
Thats how November has been so far and now I see that Ringo didnt get nominated for the Hall. Whats next?

Re: Thanksgiving at Larrys
Best of luck to your sister,TK.I haven't been enjoying November either other than the Packers.Sometimes I think maybe it's time to pack it in and call it a life between the LA traffic, stress at work, and most importantly just not feeling all that great anymore, but so far there's just enough things that still make me laugh to keep me going.

Sir RINGO will probably tour this summer.
