New Fangled Foods
As if the supermarkets need to be any larger....
There was a small gathering the other day where many children hopped, jumped, and otherwise abounded. Amazingly, there were MANY foods and food packaging that have apparently been invented in the last year or two. Here are a few:
Pudding in a tube (no spoon needed)
Yogurt in a tube (same)(kids couldn't open it)
Prepackaged STARR shaped cheeze bits
Prepackaged crustless peanutbutter and jelly in a variety of jelly flavours
Vanilla dipped pretzels
Multicoloured cheese goldfish
The list went on and on.
BTW, no one was interested in the chocolate chip cookies, nor the brownies, nor the fresh raspberries dubbed eeewwwwwww food....

Now that Kraft and Nabisco are the same company there are cross packagings going on. This morning I found Oreo handi pak's like the cheese and crackers that comes with the plastic red spreader. These have Oreo cookie sticks with a white cream sauce to dip them in. LL Swoon's!

Perhaps it is the grab and go, drive through, single serve mentality. The kids didn't come sit down to eat, in fact, neither did the adults, and if the families had wanted to, there were just 4 chairs at the only table available at this party for 20+ people. How things have changed....
