The book came yesterday and I gave it a good browsing last night. Hot new gossip learned #1: Last I had read about George's affair with Maureen they made it sound like it had been a one time thing. No so I'm afraid. Patti claims that Maureen was a frequent late night guest to FPSHOT, obstensibly at George's invitation to be the sole listener at his solo recording sessions....
Patti claimed that this went on for a long long time - months and months - until she finally couldn't stand the hypocrisy any more and she broke the news to Ringo. She said that Ringo then covered his eyes and yelled "Nothing is real, nothing is real", repeatedly.
Oww Oww Ouch. As Sammy Davis Jr once said when he saw John F Kennedy leaving Las Vegas with suitcases full of cash in each hand: "Man, there's some thing you just don't want to know about". That part of the story is the kind of thing that you wish you hadn't learned. I hope that the next new thing I read about that I hadn't known before is a bit cheerier than that one....

I finally finished that book last night. It weren't real exciting. All in all I ended up feeling sorry for Pattie - she never found any fun in all the things she did and that's why her book was so boring.
Main points of the book:
1. Eric Clapton is an absolute jerk with no redeeming qualities.
2. Pattie wishes to this day that she had stayed married to George Harrison.
That's about it I guess....
