Everyone Loves Mexicans
There was certainly a time in American history when almost everyone thought of Mexicans the same way. She was our neighbor, the girl next door, and she was beautiful. (To this day, Mexico is still the most romantic country in the western hemisphere.) But things have changed. Her image has become dirty, offensive, and unwanted.
Mexico was America's first girlfriend, but now she's fat and pregnant, and she wants to move in. With her charms she cast such a spell over America that we haven't had the self-discipline to put her out. But that baby is not ours. It's her own. We have no responsibility for it, or for her.
