In answer to your first question: Perhaps they are using the wrong bait.
As to the second question, I have but two simple but profound words: Alice Cooper. (One need only meditate briefly on the awesomeness that is The Coop to realize that his exclusion from the HOF renders any exclusion a badge of honor.)

Should I take offense and this and hate you or should I accept the fact that my wisdom pales in comparison to yours or maybe somebody here is trying to start a fight.

I've always said Alice should have been enshrined when the place first opened it's doors. Let's not forget Deep Purple, Jethro Tull and Grand Funk. I also think Abba needs to get in as well as Chicago and The Dead Milkmen. Or.....Molly Hatchett, The Hager Twins and Weird Al.
Doc Demento should be honored as well as Leonard Nimoy ( Bilbo Baggins is a classic ).

Far be it from me, or anyone else, to attempt to usurp your place as resident sage and soothsayer (in the oldest sense of that word). I am neither qualified, nor bona fide.
As to hating me: Hating me without knowing me well can be pointless and exhausting. Wait till you get to know me beter, then you'll have more than enough reasons to hate me.
As for your wisdom paling in comparison to mine: Please,... My wisdom is so pale it makes Edgar Winter look like Vijay Singh. Any appearance of sagacity on my part is an purely an illusion -- nothing but smoke and mirrors (incense smoke & funhouse mirrors).
As for somebody here trying to start a fight: I would hope not -- especially in a forum dedicated to a band that claimed "All You Need Is Love". But, then again, that same band broke up acrimoniously just a few years later -- so anything is possible. Perhaps you'd better watch your back -- there may be a Judas among your desciples.
