Re: The Best John Lennon Song of All time I saw that "Crippled Inside" was featured in some play about John. This was probably 10 years or so ago. The play of course focused on the early years. What was odd, or perhaps creative, was that they had the young John singing "Crippled Inside" while living at home with Mimi. In a weird way it made sense-you can definitely hear the skiffle roots in this one. One thing you can't hide....
Re: The Best John Lennon Song of All time Not a Second Time, I almost always leave that one out. It is a great song and Lennon vocal Sandi.I also still love and never tire of listening to # 9 Dream.

Re: The Best John Lennon Song of All time I never had Lennon Legend on CD till last night. I always felt it was fairly close in content to the JL Collection so I never picked it up. However last nite Sam Goody had Legend on sale for 9.99, plus I had a five dollar off coupon so I picked it up. Nice sound and I looked the booklet too....was trying to figure out the "era" that most of the pix were taken. What is interesting is the inclusion of six songs from 1980 (Double Fantasy and Milk and Honey). And these songs hold up real well...it just shows that towards the end of his life John was writing as well as ever. "Woman" is such a beautiful song and would fit perfectly on the White Album.
Re: The Best John Lennon Song of All time yeah i thought double fantasy was fantastic.after john being gone for so long.the album after his return would have been great too i bet....
--- all we see or seem is but a dream within a dream
Re: The Best John Lennon Song of All time what would be real nice would be to hear the reworked "I Want To hold Your Hand" that supposedly was done during the Double Fantasy sessions at least according to Jack Douglas.
