Re: 'Remember The Dakota' I was next door at the 33 year old divorcee's house (Yes Maggie, I am now leaving the poor old woman alone). My friend called from Californy to tell me. I went outside and looked into the cold clear winter sky thinking John was somewhere up there on his trip to somewhere better and less trouble. The next Day was hard for me as well as I worked with a bunch of smart assed white guys with no compassion!

Re: 'Remember The Dakota' like Steve,I got the news from Howard Cosell.Another memory that sticks out about that horrible event was Ringo's quick response to immediately fly to New York and help comfort John's family.
Re: 'Remember The Dakota' i was 18.i had even thought that i would meet him...that was b4 the shooting.
i sort of lost my last living hero after that.i was more cynical and abraisive towards others,i started looking out for me more...

It took me time to dig it. John always been my favorite. He is not really dead for me cause he still live in my heart where he had have (??) always a place.
