Seems to be a timing / stage thing and a way to go after the market you don't already have (new fans from the fan base of the opening acts). Also, the songs and stage effects are tried and true, with known formula of so many minutes long,with expected longer audience appreciation time both before and after, all while the show clock tick ticks on.
This tour, the ticket and travel price is out of range for most, though would still like to see the show....
