Okay...let me tell you this: THAT WAS SO FREAKING CUTE!!!! I absolutely loved that chapter! emoticon I so wanted it to go on much longer...But anyways, I guess that means I'll be eagerly waiting for an update.

Oh! And this part, I really liked:
quote:

"Sure love," he winked at me, "but first we must take Tinkerbell off." I gasped as Orlando reached around me pulled my shirt off... leaving me in the nude and under the mercy of Orlando's will. Orlando took a once over of my body. "Much better... and look at this," Orlando said in mock anger, "you naughty girl. Didn't your mum ever tell you to wear panties to bed?" I giggled and grinned at Orlando's cheekiness.

Ha, ha, ha...! I litterally laughed as I read that! Keep it up, hun! I'm enjoying it!

Chapter 31~ Part 1
One month later

It has already been one month since Donna’s last period and curiosity got the best of her if she really was pregnant. Donna and Orlando still lived with Liv and her dad, Steve, in Boston. Orlando wants to move back to home to live with Mum and Samantha when the baby is born. Orlando was so excited about being a father that he was already making plans for living arrangements with his mum so that when he is out working, Mum and Samantha can help Donna take care of the baby. Donna, on the other hand, was starting to question the pregnancy as she didn’t really feel any different and hasn’t really shown any bump yet. I’m so scared, Donna said while sitting on the bed in Orlando and hers bedroom. What if I’m not pregnant? Orlando would be so devastated! Orlando was in the bathroom taking a shower. Donna could hear the water being turned off and crawled into bed, under the sheets, waiting for Orlando to join her.

When Orlando finally came out, he was clad in just a towel wrapped low around his waist line, his hair standing up on all ends. Damn, he’s good enough to eat… Donna said to herself with a grin. Orlando noticed this grin and walked over to his side of the bed once he cleaned his ears and put on a simple pair of flannel boxer shorts. When Orlando got settled into bed, he turned to his side and looked at Donna’s smiling face, giving her a questioning look. “Dare I ask why you are grinning like that?” He asked, lightly brushed his lips to her own.

Donna smiled into Orlando’s kiss and kissed him back, lifting a hand to his chest, making him lie under Donna as she sat up a little. Orlando had a look of satisfied defeat spread on his face as he smiled. He’s always thinking about sex… I knew he was going to try getting his way tonight… Donna said to herself. “I was smiling, thinking of how gorgeous you looked when you stepped out of the bathroom.” Donna said before breathing hot air lightly next to Orlando’s ear, making him shiver in anticipation. Then Donna lifted up a little to look into those soulful big brown eyes that captivated her being.

“Waa… what was that for?” Orlando asked, almost breathless. He was taken back a little by his wife’s actions, but smiled to himself thinking that tonight would be just like their honeymoon.

“I was just teasing you sweetheart…” Donna giggled and rolled onto her back, laying next to Orlando. Orlando pouted, realizing he wasn’t going to get what he wanted… or better, what he anticipated would happen. Donna broke the silence that was in the room. “Orlando, honey,” Donna said wrapping her right arm across Orlando’s chest while laying on her stomach, “I was thinking we could go see a doctor tomorrow morning… you know… to see if I really am pregnant.” She looked into his eyes, knowing the pain that Orlando must be feeling in his heart… wondering if he might not be a father… wondering why Donna would be questioning this beautiful, natural process.

“Why are you questioning this love?” Orlando asked with a sad tone. His left hand gently caressing Donna’s right side of her stomach and hip. An area, Orlando knew, that may contain his unborn child, something that Donna is not convinced is occupying that space.

Donna deeply sighed, knowing that trying to describe this feeling to Orlando would be difficult for her. “Orlando, I’m not… I… I haven’t had my period yet in a month. I know that I switch medications so that we could try to conceive, but I’m not sure if it’s working or not.” Donna said brushing her right hand fingertips against Orlando’s soft facial skin. Orlando could feel tears swelling in his eyes as he didn’t know how to react to this news or theory, however you want to take it. “Orlando, I can’t even feel a bump yet.” Donna said shivering against Orlando’s gentle touch.

“Love, I don’t even think that you’re supposed to have a bump yet.” Orlando said with a worried smile as he caressed the same area on Donna’s stomach. “I’ll go to the doctor’s office with you tomorrow once we get an appointment,” Orlando gently kissed the tip of Donna’s nose, “We will see together if there really is someone growing in here.” Orlando said softly, gently nudging my stomach, acknowledging what he was talking about.

Donna’s POV

The next day, Orlando and I went to the Women and Infants section of Mass. General Hospital and waited to be seen by Dr. Shaoey McGovern. A tall, skinny girl with brunette hair and blond highlights came up to us. She looked down at a clip board in her hands and then immediately saw Orlando, walking to us. As she got closer, I could see that she has blue eyes, like mine, but a shade lighter. “Mr. Bloom?” she asked, sticking her hand out to my husband. Orlando was a bit unsure of this acquaintance, so I gave his left hand a light squeeze in assurance that it was okay by me to talk to this woman… that she meant no harm.

“Hello.” Orlando said a whispered voice.

Then the woman look at me and addressed me, “Mrs. Bloom I’m presuming?” I nodded with a smile. “If you two will come with me please. I’m Nikki, Dr. Shaoey McGovern’s assistant.” She said while walking us through the door that led to the many hallways with rooms. “Dr. McGovern couldn’t make this appointment, on short notice, another patient of hers came in to give birth.” She said with a light chuckle.

We walked into a room and she had me sit on the examination chair with the stir-ups. The stir-ups always make me queasy! Why can’t I get a room without these hideous things? I said to myself. “So,” Nikki said while looking at her clipboard and sitting on a stool. Orlando sat down in a chair next to me and held my hand. He must be worried about me since I probably look so nervous sitting here. “What are you two here for today?” she asked, “I can see here that it says, you Donna, want to know if you are pregnant? Is this right?” Orlando and I sighed at almost the same time. I smirked at the silliness that must have looked like.

“Yes, I had my period about two weeks before our wedding and we tried to conceive a week after the wedding.” I said with a soft voice so that if someone was listening in, they could barely hear us. Then Orlando gave my hand a light squeeze before speaking. Please Orlando, don’t mention that we tried conceiving twice that night! I said to myself with hope.

“The next day… about 12 hours later, as a matter of fact, we took a test and it came out positive.” Orlando said, looking up at Nikki with worried eyes. “It’s been almost a month, four weeks to be exact, and now Donna’s slightly worried that she is not pregnant. Can you help us?” Orlando Bloom, always trying to work his charm and those big brown eyes of his! Nikki smiled at both of us and stood up.

“Yes I can,” she said walking up to me. “Could you take off your sweater and I could take a blood sample?” Nikki asked as she looked for a needle and all the other supplies she would need. I don’t want a needle! I hate needles! I panicked while looking over at Orlando. He took my hand to his lips and kissed my skin softly.

“Sweetheart, love, it will be okay… I’m here.” Orlando brushed his thumb over my left hand.

“But… but… but I hate needles.” I said gritting my teeth as Nikki took her little cloth and cleaned a spot on my arm. Even that part made me nervous… feeling the cloth whip against my skin like that. I cringed some more and looked away from Nikki closing my eyes towards Orlando.

“Love, I’m here.” Orlando said as he took his other hand and brushed my cheek. I willfully opened my eyes, after I felt the pinch of the needle penetrate my skin, to look into his beautiful brown ones. “There’s nothing to be afraid of, see?” Orlando smiled softly as I realized that Nikki was finished. I looked back over to Nikki as she turned away, back to her desk.

“See, it’s over now…” Nikki said with a smile. “Let me bring this over to the lab room and I’ll be back in here with the results in 20 to 30 minutes…” She said getting ready to walk out the door. “Oh… by the way, the bathroom is to the left out this door.” Nikki said pointing in a direction and walked out.

“Thank you Nikki!” I yelled out. Orlando rubbed my left arm up and down soothingly as we sat there. All of a sudden I felt a spark of happiness… as if I was finally happy that I could be pregnant. It wasn’t like I’ve always wanted to be a mother. Orlando changed my thoughts on that, his presence made me want to think that over again. I wanted to be the one that was able to bring Orlando joy and happiness, and it seemed as though having children would indeed do that. “I’m excited, aren’t you?” I asked Orlando with a smile and leaning over to his face closer.

Orlando’s face beamed, “Yes I am love, yes I am…” Orlando said leaning up a little to meet my lips as he gave me a kiss, “and I’ll be the happiest daddy in the world.”

Orlando’s POV

Twenty-two minutes passed since Nikki left the room. All of a sudden a knock came at the door that startled Donna and I a little. Nikki came walking in. “Sorry it took me a while,” she said placing the results on her desk and then sat down on her stool. “I have the results right here.” Nikki said with a smile, which also made Donna and I smile too! I am so excited to see the results! Yeee… I wanna know if I’m a papa! I thought to myself gleefully.

“Well, tell us, please!” Donna said excited, I could tell she is just as excited as I am.

“Well…” Nikki said while looking at her notes, “all your vitals look good, your healthy, you might want to continue to exercise though regularly for a while, you are a little over weight…” She said looking up at us, obviously wanting to see our reaction to her long introduction to the news we want to hear. Yes? Please, damn it! Tell me if my wife is pregnant! “Other than that, it looks like you two are four weeks pregnant.” If my smile could get any bigger than it already was… I don’t know what I would have done. I was so overwhelmed with joy as I jumped up and sat next to my wife on the table. “Congratulations you two.”

“Thank you, thank you so much Nikki,” Donna and I said at the same time. We were both so happy. I gave Donna a warming kiss on the lips as we were sitting there in a tight hug.

“Well, your welcome,” Nikki said while giving a short cough, obviously trying to get our attention and letting us know that she was still in the room as I gave my beautiful wife affection. “You two can come back within the next week or two and we can see what the sex of the baby will be.” Donna then pulled out of our embrace and looked at me and then at Nikki.

“Thank you Nikki. We will give you a call when we have decided on that day with our tight schedule.” Donna said with a smile knowing the kind of schedule that I may have soon, as I was looking at a script for a play in London. We left to go home shortly after Nikki left the room and to tell Liv, Steve, the rest of the Fellowship and my family.

Chapter 31 ~Part 2
Flashback of last 8 months

During the past 8 months, Orlando and Donna have been enjoying their time as a married couple. Donna and Orlando went to see Dr. McGovern a few weeks after finding out that Donna is pregnant, that they in fact were going to have a boy. Orlando, hearing this wonderful news, was overjoyed and excited about this news, “I’ve always wanted a son Donna, thank you.” Orlando said smiling, as they sat in the doctor’s office.

“You’re welcome Orlando. All I’ve ever wanted was to make you happy.” Donna responded with a kiss on Orlando’s lips. How did I ever deserve a wonderful wife like Donna? All she wants is for me to be happy. I never knew such an unselfish woman existed. Orlando said to himself.

Later on that same day, Donna surprised Orlando when she brought him to her Uncle Vinny’s house. Uncle Vinny has a really nice house that is right on the water and has a channel that brings you right out to Boston Harbor. The best part is that Uncle Vinny owns a really nice yacht and since Donna got her boating license, Uncle Vinny has given Donna the privilege to drive the yacht out on Boston Harbor. So Donna brought Orlando out onto the boat and took him on a cruise around the Harbor in celebration of their son. They also had a little romantic picnic while out on the boat and watched the sunset over the horizon. “Donna,” Orlando said as he took Donna’s hands into his while they sat on the cushioned seats on the yacht. “This is really the best surprise I’ve ever received,” Orlando smiled and looked out to the water before bringing his gaze back to Donna’s dark blue eyes. He brought his right hand up to cup her cheek, bringing Donna’s gaze to Orlando’s chocolate eyes with her smile. “I keep learning something new about you each and every day we are together, and this is no different.” Orlando sighed and flashed his famous smile, “I don’t know why God brought us together, when we come from two completely different backgrounds. But, there is one thing for sure, and that you are my angel, my guardian angel who gives me blessings beyond what I can think up.” Orlando said smiling, and as you could imagine, with Donna in tears of happiness. Orlando brushed away her tears on her cheeks as he gently bent his head down and softly kissed her lips. After they kissed for what seemed like a couple minutes, Donna led the yacht back to her uncle’s dock and left to go back to the Tyler’s house.

During Donna’s fourth month in pregnancy, Donna’s belly started to grow into a noticeable shape, looking every more beautiful in the eyes of Orlando. Donna got a call from a theatrical director in London asking if Orlando would be available to perform in a small production of a play within the next couple months. Of course, Orlando said yes to the arrangement. Orlando received the script within a week and started to look over the lines immediately. Watching Orlando spend so much of his time reading the lines and trying to memorize them, Donna noticed how much of a strain it was putting on Orlando. But no, Orlando wouldn’t hear of Donna’s concerns. Orlando was very well aware of what he can and can not do, and he wouldn’t let dyslexia get in the way. Orlando knew that this production would be a challenge as he learned to be more comfortable with movie sets than theatrical stages, but Orlando wanted it that way. Of course, Orlando explained to Donna, his intentions and his thoughts of the production and the fact they would have to move soon to England.

It was during that night, Orlando and Donna talked about when their baby boy would be born. They chuckled at the eeriness of the fact that this baby is due to be born on Orlando’s birthday. Orlando promised Donna he would stop working once his son was born. He wanted to be there for everything new that happened in his son’s life: his first word, his first crawl, his first step, his first tooth, his first birthday… his first everything. Orlando was excited more than ever to be a dad.

Donna’s POV in Flashback
Canterbury, England

During that fourth month and into the sixth month of pregnancy, Orlando, Sidi and I moved to Canterbury into the house that Orlando, since he was a small boy, has always called home. Sonia and Samantha greeted us as Orlando carried his and my luggage into the house. I carried in Sidi’s belongings as Orlando didn’t want me to be carrying anything heavy, being pregnant. I honestly didn’t see anything wrong with the idea of me carrying my luggage, but that would mean I would have to argue with Orlando… and I didn’t want to do that. I saw a young woman around Orlando’s age come bolting out the door. She had the same brown, chocolaty hair, same eye shape and definitely the same smile as Orlando. This had to be, without a doubt, Samantha Bloom.
“There’s my little brother!” she greeted her brother with a tight hug and a squeal in her voice. “Oh, I’ve missed you so much! I‘m so glad you’re home now!” she said loosening her grip and backing up a bit. I let out a chuckle as I watched my husband quarrel with his sister over silly little things that happened years ago. It was then, that I wished that I had that type of relationship with J.J. now, but it didn’t turn out that way.

“Oh Sam,” Orlando said as he wrapped an arm around my shoulder lovingly and smiled. “This is Donna, my wife!” Orlando leaned in, giving me a kiss on my forehead. “Donna, this is my annoying sister, Sama…” Orlando couldn’t finish his sentence, for Sam slapped him over the head. “Ouuch!” Orlando squealed in pain, holding a hand to his head.

“Serves you right, calling your sister annoying,” Sam said, looking over at her brother and then at me, “ So you’re the lovely lady that healed my brother of a broken heart!” She said, giving me a tight hug, “Oreo, over here, never stopped talking about you back when you two were dating.” Sam smiled and took my hand to lead me into the house. I noticed Orlando looking slightly annoyed at his sister after she called him by a nickname I was unaware of until now. I soon got to meet Sonia too, when we got inside. She was one of the nicest ladies I’ve ever met. Later on that night, I asked Orlando about that nickname Sam insisted on calling him.

“So…” I said trailing off as we snuggled under the sheets of Orlando’s bed, “Oreo, explain that one to me sweetheart…” I wiggled my eyebrows.

Orlando rolled his eyes and turned to face a different direction, “that love, was the name Sam gave me when we were growing up. Because I was eating chocolate so much, Sam insisted that was the reason why my eyes and hair are dark brown. She decided to start calling me…” he paused, “that name, because of that reason and the fact that my skin was so pale.” He ended with a grunt, and turned slightly to look at me before turning back the other way, “So if you would excuse me, I’m going to sleep!”

I tried to stop myself from giggling and it soon stopped. I reached over to my husband and snuggled up to him, wrapping an arm around his waist and gently resting my lips against the soft skin at the back of his neck. His hair, I noticed, smelled of coconuts, and I smiled. I leaned over and whispered in his ear, “I will always love you no matter what. It was never always about your looks,” I smiled thoughtfully and placed my hand over Orlando’s heart, “It was your heart that I fell in love with, your handsome face is just a blessing to go along with it.” I noticed Orlando’s eyes were closed and his breathing was gentle and calm. A smile had formed on Orlando’s lips while I listened to his gentle snoring. I knew that even though Orlando didn’t say anything back, that he heard me. I went into a restful sleep that night.

Chapter 32~ Part 1
Orlando’s POV

“Come on boy!” I said to Sidi as I opened the car door to let him out. We were finally home after what seemed like a long day. I’m finally done with Death of A Salesman! I swear, tonight fans were worse than the last night of In Celebration, and the reason was not because it was the final night… it’s my birthday today and it seemed like every bloody fan wanted to give me another sodding present!

Sidi and I walked into the house cautiously, knowing very well that Donna, Mum and Sam more than likely planed a surprise dinner for me. Even though it was 9:30 PM, they knew I would never turn down a little dinner party for my birthday no matter how late it was. I walked into the kitchen while I noticed that Sidi found his way to his blanket in the living room and fell asleep. “You tired Sidi?” I asked him… knowing full well that Sidi can’t talk back. Sidi and I have been best of friends for the longest time, and I would never treat him any less than my best friend, human or not. That’s when I realized what I was seeing in the kitchen.

It looked like Sam was decorating a cake on the kitchen counter, Sam has a real talent for making a cake look delicious. Wait, what’s that smell? Chicken? I looked in the oven and there it was, a chicken casserole that was pretty much ready to come out. Mum makes the best chicken casseroles ever! I hope Mum teaches Donna how to bake my favorite meals, not that Donna doesn’t already cook great food… it would just be great to know that those recipes stay in the family. Luckily, Mum turned off the oven before she left! It looks like… wait a second? I asked myself, turning around in the kitchen. Where is everyone and why is it so quiet in here? “Donna… Mum… Sam?!” I yelled out throughout the house making Sidi yelp. “Sorry Sidi,” I said, walking over to the sleepy dog. “I’m just a little worried as to why Mum and Donna and Sam aren’t home.” I softly scratched behind his ears before getting up to check what time it was.

Strange… the clock that Mum has on the wall says 9:40 PM. Is it really that late? Wow… I chuckled to myself. I checked my cell phone to see what time it was, since I didn’t always trust an old clock. Damn! I forgot to turn my cell phone back on after the last show! I scolded myself as I turned it on. Immediately, as soon as my cell phone was on, I noticed that I had… 15 voice messages and… 2 text messages! They were all from Sam’s cell phone and Donna’s cell phone and they were all from 2 PM and on… I must have forgot to turn on my cell phone before lunch break… I hope Donna isn’t mad at me!

I decided to listen to the first voice message from Donna. When I listen to Sam’s on the other hand, I have to be cautious. When Sam gets angry, she gets very… colorful with her words… and she yells. I listened in on the message:
First message… Orlando, where are you! You’re not answering you’re cell phone! Beep!

That was Sam’s voice… why is Sam using Donna’s cell? I listened to the second message:
Second message… Orlando! Answer you damn phone! Mum, Donna and I are in Mum’s car and we are taking Donna to the hospital! Her water broke…

That’s all it took for me to realize what was going on… Donna’s at the hospital… I’m going to be a daddy!
I quickly told Sidi that his mummy was in the hospital and that she would be giving birth and that they will all be back soon. Though, I’m not quite sure how soon… Damn, I hope I’m not late! As soon as I turned on the car’s ignition, my cell phone rang… it was Sam. So I answer as I pulled out of the driveway and into the snowy streets of Canterbury.

“Hello?” I answered calmly, knowing full well that the voice I would hear would not be so.

“Bloody hell Orlando!” Sam’s voice rang in my ear. “Where have you been?!”

“I just got home, for your information and…” Sam cut me off.

“You have got to get here to the hospital! Donna’s in labor and…” I took this opportunity to cut her off.

“Sam! Listen to me! I’m on my way there as we speak… wait a sec…” I suddenly realized what she said, “Donna’s in labor? Are you with her?”

“No I’m not you dumb arse!” Sam said in a angry tone, “The doctors won’t let me nor Mum into Donna’s room until the baby’s out.” It sounded like Sam’s tone suddenly got friendly, “Just… just get here soon and drive safely okay?”

“Alright, I’ll be there in a bit… hold on.” I said as we hung up at the same time. Luckily the traffic wasn’t bad and I was able to get to the small, St. Luke’s Hospital, here in Canterbury.

I finally made it to the hospital and parked the car in the closest space I could find to the hospital at the parking lot. Running in, the receptionist stopped me, “Sir… Sir?” the older lady asked me at the desk.

“Sorry…” I said… a little shame in my voice as I didn’t want to get in trouble for seeing my wife and not following rules. “I’ve never done this before,” I shook my head in shame and realized I still had on my sunglasses. I slowly took them off with caution. The two younger ladies gasped in awe when they realized who I was. I flashed them a smile before continuing, “Ladies, my wife is here and… she’s pregnant… and giving birth… at least I think so.” Why was I so nervous? Oh, yeah, I’m going to be a father!

One of the young ladies was still looking at me star-struck, her name-tag said Sarah on it. But the other one smiled at me, with a name-tag that said Lindsay. The later looked down and rushed through some papers before she found what she was looking for. After writing something down on a label, she looked back up at me and smiled, “Mr.Bloom, here is a visitor’s pass. I’ve just written your name on here. Donna is in room 428 on the fourth floor.” I took the clip-on card and placed it on my gray sweatshirt. I smiled back at the too ladies and the grouchy older lady, I think her name was Mary, I couldn’t really tell.

“Thank you ladies,” I said, “and please, call me Orlando, no need for formalities.” I smiled leaving and gave a wink to Lindsay and a wave to Sarah who was giggling now… poor girl.

“You’re welcome Orlando!” they both said at the same time and started to giggle once I didn’t see them. I rushed over to the nearest elevator and pressed the fourth floor, hoping that none of my other fans would catch me here… whether in the elevator or in the halls.

I finally got up to the fourth floor and looked for a nurse or doctor that could tell me where Donna was. I suddenly bumped into Sam. “Sam!” I said, excited to see her here.

“Orlando,” she pulled on my sleeve, “come this way. Mum is talking to Dr. Shaw right now and you can go with her to see Donna.” Sam said so fast that I could barely catch any of the words. We suddenly met with Mum and Dr. Shaw as they were sitting down. “Mum, Dr. Shaw, Orlando is here.”
“Hi Mr. Bloom,” the tall thin woman said standing up. She had blond hair and brown eyes, but she wasn’t what I would call pretty… or young for that matter. “I’m Dr. Shaw,” she took my hand and shook it, “your wife is in labor right now since 3 PM today, so it’s been a while now. Come follow me.” Dr. Shaw started to walk down the white-tiled hall and I followed. “She’s been asking for you for a while now, so lets go get you into some scrubs and see your wife, shall we?” Dr. Shaw said passing me a green shirt, pants, and booties for my shoes.

“Okay,” I responded and walked into the small room that she led me in and shut the door.

“Come out when you’re ready Mr. Bloom.”

A minute or two later I came out dressed in green. Then Dr. Shaw gave me a white mask, “I almost forgot to give this to you.” She gestured if she should tie it on for me and I nodded yes. After getting the mask on we walked into Donna’s room. Dr. Shaw knocked on the door before walking in, “Donna, guess who I found roaming the hospital halls?” I followed in and saw my beautiful wife looking back into my eyes with a beaming smile on her face. I smiled back at her laying in the hospital bed, with her huge belly and legs propped up.

Chapter 32~ Part 2
Donna’s POV

I felt more pain down in the pit of my stomach, each minute seemed to get more and more painful. But I wanted to go through this without drugs. I wanted to show Orlando that I can endure that pain that so many women have gone through. I rubbed at my stomach gently, as I felt baby Orlando move and kick. “Come on little man,” I called to my unborn son. “I know that you want to come out… but you’re just waiting for your daddy come in before your grand entrance now are you?”

Then, as if on cue, I heard a knock on the door. Must be either Nikki the RN or Dr. Shaw. I looked up from my hospital bed when I heard the door open. Dr. Shaw came walking in, and I could see a shadow lurking behind her, I could not tell who it was. “Donna, guess who I found roaming the hospital halls?” She asked enthusiastically. Santa Clause? I asked to myself… who was she kidding? Could be anyone! If it’s Dom, I’d have him run out these halls and chase down Orlando and drag him here to see his son be born.

All of a sudden, I realized that God must really be testing me patience because Orlando came walking in, with green scrubs on, a green cap, and white face mask. As soon as Orlando’s eyes met mine he quickly took the mask down and smiled at me, tears gleaming in his eyes. “Oh Sweetheart, Love, I’m so sorry I didn’t come here any sooner…” Orlando said softly as he briskly walked over to my side and grabbed a hold of my right hand. He bent down, kissed my sweaty forehead, and brushed his fingers through my wavy, dirty-blonde hair. His lips… they felt so warm to the touch as they met my hot skin on my cheeks. “You know how I am with trying to remember to turn on my cell phone…” Orlando said lifting his head up to meet my gaze.

I squeezed his hand reassuringly and kissed his knuckles. “It’s okay Orlando, I love you and I’m just glad that you are here to see your son being born…” I said with a smile, looking into my husband’s beautiful chocolate brown eyes, “ …and that you made it here safe.” I added softly, a tear trying to make it’s way out. Orlando had no idea how worried I was about him. Not that I was afraid that he was not going to be here for his son… but that he was going to get here safe. Whether it be someone else’s road rage, or Orlando driving too fast… I knew of the possibilities of something bad happening.

“What’s wrong love?” Orlando asked, still holding my hand and gently nudging his cheek against mine, asking me to respond. He was now kneeling on the chair that was close to the bed and I could feel his warm breath as Orlando spoke, warming my neck soothingly.

“It’s just that I was so worried about you getting here safely…” I breathed. I was smiling, knowing that Orlando was here safely and I could feel baby Orlando kicking. “Oh… there he goes again,” I said with a chuckle. Orlando leaned back and with an alarmed look on his face. He looked down at my swollen belly as I took my left hand and placed it where I felt the kick again. “That was harder!” I said softly, with excitement. I completely forgot that Dr. Shaw was in the room until she said something.

“Shall we have a look to see if our little man is reading to come out?” Dr. Shaw asked with a grin and started to put on gloves.

Just then Orlando took his right hand and placed it over my stomach. A wide grin stretched across his face. I took my left hand and helped Orlando find what he was looking for. “Right here baby…” I said softly to Orlando, “can you feel that?” Orlando smiled softly and kissed my lips before placing the right side of his face against my stomach, listening for any movement. Taking his left hand, Orlando brushed his fingers against my stomach.

“Hey little guy, Daddy is here…” Orlando spoke, barely above a whisper, as if he only wanted his son to hear him. But, of course, pregnancy brings super sensitive ears… I can hear everything. “I want you to know that I love you and I can’t wait any longer for you to come into this world.” Orlando said, kissing my stomach softly before talking more. “I want to show you the world… I want to show you how to kick a football, how to ride a bike… everything a father should teach his son.” This man that I married, I’ve realized now, how much I love him. I can’t believe how good Orlando has been to me… and those words he just spoke… they made me cry.
“What are you crying for love?” Orlando asked as he looked up at me and sat up, rubbing his thumbs into the palm of my right hand. He took his right hand and brushed away at the tears streaming down my cheeks.

“I’m just an emotional wreck right now Orlando…” I said, not wanting let him know how his promises to his son really warmed my heart. All of a sudden I felt this pain… a pain like no other… “Orlando… Dr. Shaw!” I said sitting up and holding on to my stomach hoping that I wasn’t going to throw up. “I think the baby is ready to come out!”

Orlando’s POV

“Orlando,” Dr. Shaw said to me as I sat there, next to my wife. Donna’s eyes are squeezed shut and screaming in pain… and I can’t do anything about it. I look over at Dr. Shaw and gave her a pleading look. “Orlando, please… put on your mask.” So I did as Dr. Shaw asked. I reluctantly let go of Donna’s hand for the brief moment I needed to tie the bloody mask back on. It was then that I realized what was going on when Nikki the RN came in. I was all set… ready to become a daddy. Nikki came around to the other side of Donna and checked her monitors and then took out a tube of some stuff and spread it on Donna’s swollen stomach before taking some technology gadget and placing it on Donna’s stomach. I turned away, not really wanting to know what evil contraption that was connected with.

“Okay Dr. Shaw… what can I do to help?” I asked, eager to help in any way I could.

“Well Orlando, you can start by holding Donna’s hand as I give her some calming drugs.” Dr. Shaw said as she went over to the same side as Nikki was. Dr. Shaw took a needle and injected some type of fluid into my wife’s small, frail body.

“What… what does that do?” I asked pointing to the needle as I leaned over to hold Donna’s hand and kissed it softly. Donna was now laying back trying to breath calmly. “It’s okay baby, I’m here… You’re doing great love” I said, hoping to sooth Donna’s calmness.

“This drug just calms her nerves…” Dr. Shaw said, she looked up to see my worried face, “and don’t worry, it will have no side effects to the baby.” She said with a smile. I smiled back at Donna as she opened her eyes. My happy thoughts of having a family was interrupted by Nikki.

“Dr. Shaw… this ultrasound shows that the baby is ready to come out.” Nikki said looking over at Dr. Shaw and then at Donna.

“See sweetheart,” I said rubbing Donna’s hand in mine, “You’re going to do great.” Donna looked back at me and gave my hand a light squeeze, a worried look on her face.

“Orlando, honey, please don’t leave me… I love you so much.” She said to me and started to cry as she pushed herself up a bit. All I could imagine is that she felt a contraction. I felt a little shocked, of both of what she said and what she was doing now.

“Okay Mrs. Bloom…” Dr. Shaw said, getting in between Donna’s legs, “It’s time to push.”

“Honey, it’s okay, breathe…” Donna gritted her teeth as she pushed, Donna squeezed so hard on my hand I yelped my last thought, “I’m never going to leave you!”

“Okay… another push Mrs. Bloom… come on!” Donna screamed as she pushed another time. I got a better grip on Donna’s hand once more.

“Come on love, you can do it…” I said leaning into her ear, “Do it for me… I’m so proud of you.”

Donna let out another scream and pushed again with all her strength, “THIS HURTS SO MUCH!” She screamed. I could have sworn people on the other floors could hear my wife’s scream. I am sure glad that I’m not a woman… I just get the pleasure of being a producer and seeing my baby boy once he is born.

“Okay Mrs. Bloom we need a couple more pushes out of you okay?” Dr. Shaw said looking up at Donna’s sweaty face. I looked into Donna’s eyes and leaned over to whip away some of the sweat and kiss her forehead.

“You look so beautiful right now Donna… please, give another push…” I said trying to talk my wife into giving another try at pushing. Donna pushed… but there was a sound… an awful gushing sound that came from the side that Dr. Shaw was on.

I stood up for a moment, still holding Donna’s hand, and looked over at what happened. All I could see was a thick pinkish-colored mucus that started to ooze out with a sound that will forever be in my mind. I gave a look of disgust. “It’s okay Mr. Bloom… this is what normally happens when the baby starts to crown. The rest of this stuff comes out too.” She said with such confidence and a smile. “Give me another push Mrs. Bloom!”

With that Donna took a deep breath after taking a look at me, and pushed. I started to feel sick to my stomach and everything went blurry… they black. Last thing I remember hearing was, “Mr. Bloom! Can you hear me?!” I started to moan as I struggled to say anything that was on my mind. Then I heard another voice, “I believe Mr. Bloom has fainted Dr. Shaw.”

Chapter 33~ Part 1
Donna‘s POV

WHHAAA… AAA! That was the sound of a human baby, crying… and it was the baby that Orlando and I created together. Orlando… Orlando! Where is he? I asked myself as I laid in the hospital just seconds after giving birth to our son. Our son… it’s feels strange for me to say that, after all, I never would have guessed that I would ever be a mother. Orlando was here, not a minute ago, holding my hand. But then when my focus became clearer after I was crying so much from pain, I noticed off to the side of the room, Nikki and a couple other nurses were tending to what looked like Orlando… “What happened to my husband?” I asked out loud to no one in particular.

Dr. Shaw came up to me after cleaning my son, and held him in her arms. “Donna, Orlando fainted… you may want to take a nap,” she said rocking my son in her arms. “I’m going to put your little one in the care of another nurse,” Dr. Shaw said while emphasizing on my baby boy, “while you sleep. I’ll have the nurses there put Orlando on a hospital bed and have him rest next to you, okay?” I nodded. My poor husband. I laid there shocked for a moment until my thoughts were taken from me when two male nurses came into my quite room and brought in a bed, positioning it next to me. Then one of them proceeded to help the female nurses lift Orlando up and place him gently onto the bed. Then they moved the bed closer so that there was no room between our beds.

“Is he going to be okay?” I asked with a tired voice. That drug that the nurse gave me was starting to make me very sleepy.

“Your husband is just unconscious right now Mrs. Bloom,” said Nikki. “He will wake up by the time you wake from your nap.” She said, fixing Orlando’s IV cord and then proceeded to check on mine.
“Why must he wear one of those IV’s?” I asked, wanting to know. Hey, I’m a concerned wife, I need to know these details! Nikki sighed as she wrote down our vital signs on two separate sheets of papers.

“Well, we wanted to make sure that Orlando’s faint was only due to, the sight of blood, or whatever it was that made Orlando faint. If it was something else, we wanted to make sure that we caught it fast.” Nikki said leaning on the end of my bed.

“Well, is it anything other than…” I said with a bemused look on my face. Thinking that Orlando Bloom, the Crusader, my knight - in - shining - armor, the man who fought orcs with a bow and arrow, would be afraid of the sight of blood or the sight of birth, made me chuckle a bit. “I’m sorry,” I said stifling a laugh, “if you know my husband, you know this is way too funny!”

“Yeah, Mrs. Bloom,” Nikki said with a smile and then looked at Orlando’s sleeping form. “I know very well of you husband, he’s a strong man. But I’m a nurse, and I’ve seen tough men come here with their pregnant wives, and well, not all of them come out felling as manly as when they came in.” I smiled and laughed a little, looking over at Orlando’s peaceful face. He had a worried look that took me off guard for a second. It was then, that I remembered, that it was his birthday today, and I hadn’t wished him a happy birthday all day long.

I noticed Nikki walked out of the room to let me sleep. So I leaned over and stretched my arm out to Orlando’s face and brushed my fingers across his cheek. I leaned closer, not taking my hand away from his cheek, and brushed my lips with his. “Happy birthday sweetheart…” I whispered as I pulled away from his lips. I wrapped my arm around Orlando’s soft, warm, stomach and rested my head against his chest. I listened to the melodic pitter-patter of Orlando’s heart beat, as it lulled me to sleep.

Two hours later…
Orlando’s POV

Where am I and what am I doing here? I asked myself sleepily as I groaned and stretched under a weighing form above me. I immediately realized who it was when I noticed the long dirty blonde hair cascaded over back and face. I smiled at the thought of how lucky I’ve been to marry such a wonderful woman, and to father her child… our son. Our son… Damnit! I missed my son’s birth! Well, it wasn’t like I wanted to see the actual birth… unless if I wanted to faint again, which
