Re: American Angel in London
Breana's POV.
I lay on the couch, nearly an hour later, facing the wall.
"Anne, please say something." Orlando whispered in my ear.
"This was wrong...Orlando, I'm married."
"You've been married for a week Anne."
I turned, looking at him, and blinking back tears. "It dosen't matter if I've been married a week or 50 years Orlando, I'm still married."
"Are you going to tell him?"
She shook her head. "No. It was a stupid mistake. I would rather deal with the guilt than hurt him."
"It wasn't a mistake Anne. Don't say that."
"What do you expect me to say Orlando? I cheated on my husband. I hate cheaters. Evreything I ever yelled at you for or...was angry at you for....evreything I said to Christine. It means nothing now, because I've done the same thing."
"It's not the same Anne. I didn't love Christine. You love me."
"It is! I'm not talking about love Orlando! I'm talking about the fact that I just cheated on my husband." I sat up, reaching for my dress.
"Anne, don't go." Orlando pleaded. I look over and shook my head.
"I have to." I wiped away a tear, getting up, and getting dressed. I grabbed my clutch purse, and walked out. I was heading out the door when I felt someone grab my arm, I turned, seeing a familar woman.
"Liv?" I said, as she drug me into the bathroom.
"Are you heading home?" She asked.
I nodded. "I'm stopping by my hotel, and changing, and then yeah...I'm going home. Why?"
"Maybe you should cover this up." She said, moving my hair to reveal the hickey on my neck.
"How did you..."
"When you opened the door, the air blew your hair. I saw it...but don't worry, no one else did." She said, helping me cover it up. "He really loves you, you know. He wasn't the same after you left. He never spoke to Christine after you left either."
"How did you know it was her?"
"Oh please Anne, evreyone knows. Except for Sean, of course. He chooses to lives in denial and think she's the greatest thing on God's green earth." She said, putting the make-up away.
"Anne, staying in your marriage if you don't love him...or if you love someone else isn't honorable, it's selfish. Both to Orlando and your husband. Orlando's never going to be able to move on now. Not really. He's always going to be wondering if there's another chance for you two. And as for your husband, you can come up with every excuse in the book as to why you won't tell him, but the truth will come out. It always does."
I nodded like a scolded schoolgirl. "Thank you Liv." I said, gathering my things, and walking out with her.
"Anne!" I heard Orlando call after me, but I kept walking, getting into my car.
On my flight back, I pondered over what Liv had said. Did the truth always come out? Could I be in a marriage based on a lie?
Nearly a month had passed, and I hadn't told Jeff. He'd seemed to happy to have me home...I couldn't crush him. I was sitting in the backyard, watching Lizzie play one morning, when I suddenly felt sick. Jeff looked up from his chair.
"You look pale baby...are you okay?"
"I feel sick." I admitted. He got up to help me, but I was way ahead of him, running inside to the bathroom, returning a few minutes later, wiping my face, he looked up at me raising an eyebrow. "Feel better now?"
"No, not at all." I said, leaning back against my chair.
When the nasuea lasted for days, I finally got up the nerve to go to the doctor. Lizzie was with my mom, and Jeff was with me at the doctors. After my exam, the doctor walked back in.
"Well, Mrs. Downs, you don't have the flu."
"I don't?" I said curiously.
"No, just the opposite in fact. You're pregnant."
"Pregnant?" I choked. "How far along?"
"About a month as far as I can tell."
I looked over to see Jeff smiling widely as he leaned down, and kissed me. "We're having a baby."
"M-maybe."
"No Mrs. Downs, you're definantly pregnant."
"I know that I mean...maybe we're having a baby."
Jeff laughed. "Anne? What are you talking about?"
"Dr. Clayton? Can we have a minute alone?"
"Of course." He nodded, walking out.
"There's something I have to tell you."
"What is it Anne?"
"The baby...might be Orlando's."
"What? But you haven't been with him in nearly a year...certinly not in the last month. Have you?"
I looked down, as if giving him a silent answer to his question.
"When?" he choked.
"At the awards." I said, looking up at him.
"Were you planning on telling me?"
"I-I don't know."
"So....the baby...the baby you're carrying...it could either be mine....or Orlando's?"
I nodded. "Yes."
"And if it's his?" He said.
"I-I don't know."
"You still love him Anne. Anyone can see that. What I need to know is, if this baby is Orlando's...are you going back to him?"
"I don't know Jeff."
"Well..." He cleared his throat. "I guess I should talk to the doctor then?"
"I can."
"No, it's okay. I'll do it." He said, walking out.
A few days later, I chewed on my nail as I waited for my DNA results. They'd had a hard time getting a sample, but when they assured me the baby wasn't in danger, I finally let them. I rushed out, meeting the mailman, and taking my mail, running up to the porch. Jeff stood in the door as I sat down on the swing. To be honest, I didn't know who's baby I wanted it to be. I was looking for a sign from God. If this baby was Orlando's...I was meant to be with him. If it was Jeff's...I'd stay with him. I ran my finger along the slid, opening it up, and reading the results. I hadn't told Orlando yet, so we had no DNA sample from him, but the test confirmed that my baby was not Jeff's. Which meant it had to be Orlando's. I glanced up at him, and he read my expression. He came over, and sat beside me, kissing the side of my head. "Do you want me to drive you to the airport?"
"How did you know I would-"
"I know you Anne."
"Why do you have to be so nice? Why can't you yell, and be angry?"
"Because no matter what you do...or what we go through...you're still my best friend. Now come on...let's get lizzie packed for Orlando's. He said, walking inside with me.
Three hours later, I was on my way to Australlia. I'd practiced a speech over and over in my head, but I knew I'd be at a loss for words when I seen him. I walked off of the plane, shading the sun from my eyes as I looked for him. I smiled, seeing him, and waved. He walked over, his eyes hidden with sunglasses. He smiled, hugging Lizzie close, and talking to her exitedly, but I seemed to be invisable.
"Can we talk?" I said, suddenly bringing his attention back.
"It's month later Anne...what's there to talk about now?"
"I'm pregnant."
"Congratulations." He said without flinching.
"Orlando-"
"Anne, if this is your way of telling me you're staying with him, I've already go the message. I got it when you didn't call..and it was definatly clear when you ignored my calls."
"If you'd shut up for two seconds, you'd hear what I'm trying to tell you. I'm pregnant. With you're child moron."
"M-mine?"
I nodded.
"So...are you..."
I nodded.
"I kind of had to tell him now, I guess."
"So he left you?"
I shook my head. "No, when I found out the baby was yours, I took it as a sign."
"So you're.."
"I'm..finally coming home." I smiled. I felt myself be pulled forward, into a knee buckling kiss. I smiled, wrapping my arms around his neck. Evreything else seemed to dissapeer. We'd work through evreything....and we'd make us work this time...I just knew it.

Re: American Angel in London
Wow! Okay I'll be first to admit that I didn't see that coming. Mna and Jeff was pretty chill about it all. But is her really?

Re: American Angel in London
Jeff loves Anne enough that he would rather stay friends than get angry.

Re: American Angel in London
Anne's POV
I awoke the next morning, smiling as the sun shone through Orlando's bedroom window. My hand immediatly went to my stomach, smiling as I remembered the previous night. Orlando and I had spent it reminiscing, and making love. I was just about to get out of bed, when an exited squeal come from Orlando's bedroom door. I laughed, and covered myself with the blanket as Lizzy ran in, jumping on the bed. "Mommy!" She squealed, wrapping her tiny arms around my neck. I laughed, hugging her.
"Hi sweet pea." I smiled, kissing her head.
"Daddy's making brefast!" She said, in her cute voice. I laughed.
"Well that's sweet of him. Why don't you go help him while mommy makes herself erm...presentable."
"Okay." She shrugged. I knew she had no idea what 'presentable' meant, but she did know what helping Orlando was. She ran through the house, and into the kitchen. I got up out of bed, walking into Orlando's bathroom, and showering.
Orlando's POV.
Seeing Elizabeth run in, I smiled, watching her climb on her step stool to help me.
"Is mommy up yet?"
"Yep. She's taking a shower." She said, hearing the water run.
"Oh, that's good. Maybe we'll be done with breakfast by the time that-" I stopped, hearing a knock on the door. "Who could that be this early?" I said, turning down the stove, and walking to the door. Opening it, I choked on my words. "K-kate."
"Hey, your still in your pj's. You picked up Lizzy last night right? We were all supposed to go to breakf-" She stopped, and I turned around to see Anne standing in the hallway, with a similar dumbfounded look on her face. "Kate...we need to talk."
She nodded, looking over Anne again. "Obviously." She said, walking out on the porch so we would be away from Lizzy...and Anne to I supposed. "So...you two are getting back together?"
I nodded.
"When were you going to tell me?" She spat.
"I was going to come over today, I completley forgot about breakfast."
"I'll bet you did." She nodded.
"I'm sorry Kate. I love her."
She nodded. "I know...I guess I always knew. I should go."
"Katie, really...I'm so sorry."
She just shook her head, glancing back at me as she walked to her car. "Goodbye Orlando." She said, getting inside, and driving off.
"Goodbye..." I repeated, turning, and walking inside.

Re: American Angel in London
Orlando's POV
I walked back inside, seeing Anne. She walked over to me, wrapping her arms around me. "Hey...I bet that wasn't easy." She whispered softly, comforting me.
"You did it for me." I reminded her. "And I love you...I'd do anything for you." I said, kissing her. "We're a family again...no one will ever come between us again...I promise. Just me, you, Lizzy...and our baby." I smiled, stroking her stomach.
"Baby?" Lizzy said quizically.
I laughed. "Well, I guess this is as good a time as any. Lizzy...your going to be a big sister sweetheart." I smiled.
"I'm going to have a little sister?" She squealed.
"Or brother." Anne laughed.
"Ew, I don't want a stinky boy."
"Well, we can't really choose LizzyBee." I laughed, putting food on her plate. An hour later, Anne and I were snuggled up in the porch swing, watching Lizzy play in the backyard. "I was thinking...what about taking a vacation next week...just the three of us? I have the week off from shooting."
"I have to be in the studio on Tuesday." She frowned.
"Okay...well how about we fly into Nashville Sunday, stay until Wedensday night, then fly into London, and stay until Friday?"
"We get to go see Sonia and Sam?"
"Yes. I do believe they'd kill me if we broke the good news to them over the phone." She laughed.
"My parents are going to kill us anyway. They are not going to be happy about this honey. Jeff is-"
"The son they never had...I know." I sighed. "But we'll deal with it okay?" I smiled.
"Alright. If you say so." She smiled, kissing my cheek. "I love you."
"I love you too baby. Forever and always."
