When we finally reached home, Orlando put Lizzy to bed. I heard his footsteps at my bedroom door. I sat up, watching him take off his shoes and climb into my bed.
"Can she do it?"
"No. I don't think so."
"But what if-"
"There are tons of what ifs Anne." He snapped.
"Why are you angry at me?"
"I'm not." He said shortly.
"Fine. Whatever you say. We have to figure out what to do."
"There's nothing to do. Not until she makes the next move."
"So, we're just going to sit around here until she takes our daughter?"
"Maybe it's better. What if when Elizabeth's older, she's angry because we never allowed her to see her mother."
"What could Allie possibly do?! Allie may have given birth to her, but Elizabeth is my daugher Orlando. I've bathed her, and fed her and sat up with her when she's sick. She is my daughter. And if you won't fight for her, I will."
"Don't you get it Anne? You have no bloody power here. This is my problem."
"Our problem Orlando."
"No Anne! This is between Allie and me. She's our daughter."
Orlando's POV
As soon as the words came out of my mouth. "Anne I-"
"No. That crossed the line Orlando. Go."'
"But I-"
"No. Get out of my room. Now."
"Anne..."
"GO!" She yelled, pushing me out the door.

Anne's POV
I walked through the house, fixing another pot of coffee, and trying to caffinate away the horrible night away. Had I been to harsh on him? He was as stressed as I was after all...who could blame him after all. I heard a knock on the door, and glanced up at the clock. It was barely after seven. I sat down my coffee cup, and walked to the front door, opening it, and seeing a police officer.
"Can I help you officer?" I asked.
"Are you Mrs.Bloom?"
"No, we're not married."
"Do you have adoption papers on Elizabeth Anne Bloom?"
"Yes, I adopted her. Why?"
He reached forward, and handed me a set of documents. "You've been served. You're being sued for false adoption, and a forged signature."
"Forged signature? False adoption?" I said confused.
"The signature on your adoption papers aren't from Elizabeth's biologial mother."
"No, they couldn't contact her. They tried, so the judge signed the forms instead, and they were delievered to me."
"Were you present when the judge signed them."
She thought about it. "No..."
"Your lawyer forged a signature, and now the child's mother is claiming you and Mr.Bloom witheld her child from her illegally. Is Mr.Bloom here?"
"Yes, he's asleep."
"I need to speak to him."
"O-okay." I said, letting him in, and shutting the door, then going to Orlando's room. "Orlando, wake up." He grumbled an rolled over. "Orlando, please wake up." I said, my voice choked with tears and panic.
"What is it?" He said, sitting up.
"There's a police officer here."
"About Elizabeth?"
I nodded.
"Okay, listen, nothing's going to happen."
"Your lawyer forged the judge's signature."
"That doesn't matter Anne. She kidnapped Lizzy, there's no way the courts will take her from us."
"Orlando, if the signature was forged, the adoption papers are fake, and Allie had every right to take her. They'll wipe her record clean."
"Calm down...we'll fix this. I won't let her take our daughter love, I promise."
I looked up and met his eyes.
"And I'm sorry about-"
"Forget it. This is more important." I said, leaning in, and kissing him.

watss gonna happen now? orli should really get the papers saying his daughter's biological mum abondaone her. it would e mean for her to be taken away.
