Breana's POV
I leaned against the door, smiling, and watching Orlando play on the beach with the girls, while Dom grilled burgers. Our date had went well, but already I had noticed his connection was deeper than mine. I didn't want something serious. I'd been married for five years, and it hand't got me anywhere special. Not that I ever expected Dom to be like Carl, but still...I had let him know that I would rather be friends, and surprisingly, he'd complied rather well. I turned around, hearing Miranda come out of the bathroom.
"I'm nervous." She admitted.
I laughed. "There both under seven years old Miranda. They aren't going to kill you."
"I know that. But they will decide whether Orlando and I have a relationship, or a vacation fling." She said, taking a drink of a wine cooler Dom had presented her with at the door. "Orlando said he would never date anyone his kids didn't like."
"Orlando's kids love everyone. Just play with them."
"I don't know how." She said pathetically.
"Come on." I said, grabbing her hand, and running down to the beach."Hey, you girls want to play hide and seek?"
"Will you play with us?!" Mandy asked.
"No, I have to help Uncle Dom with the food, but Miranda's going to play with you, okay?"
"Awww...okay." Holly pouted.
"I'll play later, I promise."
"No, it's fine. I can help Dom." Miranda said.
"Yay! Now you can play Breana!" Mandy said.
"Mandy" I scolded softly, looking over at Miranda. "Really, it's fine. You should bond with them."'
"They want you Breana. I'll help Dom." She said with a half smile, jogging up to the house. Orlando jogged over, catching the tail end of the conversation.
"Thanks for trying." He smiled.
"I did my best."
"It's fine. You're it. Come on girls! Let's hide." He said, running off. I laughed, and sat down in the sand, and covering my eyes, counting.
Dom's POV
I saw Miranda running back up the beach, and closed the grill, walking inside, she let out a sigh as she walked in behind me.
"What happenned?" I asked, grabbing a beer from the fridge. I listened as she explained.
"Doesn't it feel sometimes like they're perfect for each other?"
"Who?" I asked.
"Breana and Orlando."
I nodded. "The only person that dosen't know Orlando loves Breana is...Orlando and Breana." I chuckled.
"You know Dom, I've never been really good at being the better person."
I nodded in agreement.
"But I don't really have a choice this time." She grabbed her purse. "Will you explain it to Orlando?"
"No. If you walk away now, your being a coward. Explain it yourself."
She sighed. "You're right. Fine." She laid down her purse, walking outside to find Orlando.

I'm happy that Dom made a point to confront Miranda about this.
If he didn't, I think Miranda would have made a bad choice of just leaving without a explanation...
and I think Orlando would have blamed Breana for it... only because of his own insecurities
and scared that Breana might not love him like he loves her.
Though, I am glad that Breana attempted to get Miranda to play with the girls... at least it shows Orlando
that she is willing to let go of him if he chose to be with Miranda- I think this was all for the best
and that Breana has a chance now to prove to Orlando that she is in love with him

hey everyone! I'm new to this board and this story, and I have to say that I love this story so much so far!! I can't wait for the update to see how the relationships unfold, and whether or not Carl returns (i hope not!!)  look forward to the next update!

I am so sorry, my dear faithful readers. I have been on a terrible, terrible writers block. I just cranked out a half decent new chapter for American Angel in London, and a new chapter will be coming for this, no later than Monday. I promise. =]
